Mimaru Ikebukuro is the best accomodation for families looking for bigger rooms and convenient location.
Pros:

The Mimaru Ikebukuro apartment hotel was a very enjoyable stay. The location is amazing, the rooms are much bigger than usual hotels (though can be pricey than most) and the service from the staff was impeccable and highly professional. The staff was able to provide support in multiple languages and were attentive to our needs. The washer/dryer in our room was also very convenient to have.

Cons:

The washer/dryer could’ve been more effective in drying our clothes, though we knew that usual washer/dryer combo machines do take longer to dry clothes. We just had to wash our clothes in smaller batches and more regularly. It’s not a deterrent to our stay at all though, having the washer/dryer machine was already a huge convenience boost.

Delightful and very easy to navigate the giant city of Tokyo
Pros:

Staff was very nice, hotel is really clean and provide a ton yo accommodations for foreigners

Cons:

Location has a lot of sex clubs almost on every corner. But centralized and very close to try train. The station was only a 5 min walk, which took you to every where you want to go in the city

Pros:

Hotel rooms is relatively large compared to other hotel in Tokyo, it’s good for family with kids to stay. but the location is not really good, always take 10-15 walk to the centre of Ikebukuro, eg sunshine city, Tobu, Seibu.

Cons:

The soundproofing is bad, we always heard the walking and jumping sound from next level of guest, it’s quite disturbing.

Pros:

Size of the room was great for family of 5. Easy check in and out process. Front desk and night staff very friendly and helpful. Many amenities and services available like child minding or luggage forwarding.

Cons:

Area is very close to bars and clubs not family friendly walking area from the station. Lobby was very busy with lot of luggages for forwarding.

We loved our apartment
Pros:

We loved our apartment, it was so spacious and clean! All the amenities and facilities were great, such a good location too! It was easy to travel with the station close by.

Pokemon lovers dream room
Pros:

We got the Pokemon room so the joy it brought our kids to search for Pokemon was worth it, plus the kitchen and space for a room in Japan were much appreciated.

Cons:

About my only dislike was the cost, but it was not unexpected for a theme room.
