İkinci konaklayaşım ve herşey yine çok iyiydi.
The apartment room was amazing. Staff were all nice and very accommodating. Definitely recommended for families and groups.
Great hotel, comfy beds, spacious room, friendly staff.
Not much going on on this side of ikebukoro except the red light area, which was not on our list as a family trip :)
The staff are super helpful and welcoming!
The rooms are spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay there.
This was our first family trip to Japan, and this hotel fit our needs in wanting to split Tokyo in half. This location was close to the Harry Potter studio tour and the Kewpie Mayo museum. Besides that, I probably wouldn't stay in Ikebukuro again, but definitely stay at this hotel chain. The room was perfect for a family of 4, and the Pokémon theme was fun for our first stay. Access to a mini kitchen, especially the fridge and microwave, for all of our Konbini runs. The front desk staff was very friendly and spoke English. A bonus was using their luggage service for a reasonable charge to send our large suitcases to the airport ahead of time, which was cheaper and more convenient than dropping them off ourselves at a stand-alone service center. This will be a huge incentive when booking a return trip. Washing machines on site is a must when booking a stay; they had a room with multiple coin units.
Nothing.
The room was comfortable and spacious, suitable for a family of six. The kids loved the bunk beds. Having a living area (with ample seating) and a kitchenette was also great for our stay of three nights.
The check-in process was longer than expected. I understand that there are lots of amenities available, but it was rather tiring to have to stand there listening to an entire speech after a long day of travel.
乾淨,舒適
真的要挑剔就大概離池袋車站走路約8-10分鐘
The Ikebukuro neighborhood has a slightly less touristy vibe yet retains the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Plenty of places to eat, shop, and explore a few steps outside the hotel. Great location, helpful and diverse staff that is more international which made it easier to communicate, and easy to do laundry. It was a good home base as this was our second visit to Tokyo and second time in a Mimaru property. We arrived after almost 3 weeks in more laid-back Hokkaido so the energy of the neighborhood was noticeably different and fun.
We chose a 1-bedroom Japanese apartment which had 2 twin mattresses on tatami mats and a sleeping mat stored in a cabinet that we unfolded for the third adult. I assumed the 3rd "bed" would be a futon similar to the 2 twins based on the hotel photos, yet it was more like a 2 or 3-inch foam mat that could be used for tent camping. My college son was a good sport and let his younger brother have the more comfortable mattress. Suggestion would be to show or describe the "futon" more accurately so that guests know what to expect. I would have chosen a different room style had I understood what a futon meant -- perhaps my mistake in not paying closer attention to photos. Thank you for an otherwise good stay.
Friendly staff, good location. Our second time staying here. Great for families. Love the kitchen and access to coin laundry.
Location
Nothing
Large room full amenities
Food smell in the room
Close to main area, clean hotel
The hotel is about a 7-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. You can easily travel to many places using the Yamanote Line. Our room was quite spacious compared to the typical hotel rooms in Japan. It had four bunk beds, making it ideal for groups or families. The room was also very clean and included one bathroom, one separate toilet, and a table. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I think the beds had traditional Japanese-style mattresses, which were much thinner than regular mattresses. Because of that, I could feel the bed frame underneath, so I didn't find the bed very comfortable.
