Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location
Pros:

The hotel was beautiful and in a great central location. It was a clean and very comfortable stay at the Hotel Ambasador and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The staff were excellent and the breakfast selection was incredible. The rooftop pool and bar was to die for; we spent most of our afternoons sunbathing and drinking tasty cocktails. It was situated a five minute walk from the Riva Promenade, was within a very short walking distance from the harbour, and was right by local shops and the Old Town. The hotel, service, and location were perfect. Definitely the best hotel in Split in my opinion.

Had a great stay at the hotel - room was comfy and spotless! 😊 Location was a bonus, everything was within walking distance. Used the restaurant for dinner both nights and food was really good and wine selection was great. Breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Food in the restaurant was great. One thing: on our last morning, we went for breakfast at 6:55am (reception said we could go in) as we were trying to get an early start - had a 3.5 hour drive and a flight to catch. Was a bit awkward when staff stopped us mid-service, wasn't clear we had to wait till 7am to eat. A simple heads-up would've helped - would've happily waited otherwise. No major dramas, would recommend.

Indulgent stay close to center of town
Pros:

Luxurious hotel a few minutes walk from old town. Had delicious meal in Split at their Mediterranee Restaurant. Expansive top quality buffet with made to order items. Enjoyed relaxing in bed with views of the sea. Excellent spa. Great place when you want to treat yourself! Highest recommendation.
