Pros:

The rooms are renovated and clean. Bed linen is good. Generally clean modern accommodation. Bistro is conveniently located downstairs and a decent menu with good specials. Good shopping in the Main Street. Close to train station. Free parking.

Cons:

I’d give a higher rating but for the plant room I was next to. The machinery noise coming out of that room at all hours interrupted my sleep every night. People smoke cigarettes in the pub downstairs (!pretty sure that’s illegal in NSW!) so the smell of smoke is present.

Disappointed but had the best sleep
Pros:

The beds are so comfortable. We had the best sleeps in them.

Cons:

The fridge was leaking, milk was off, the cups looked like they were wiped clean with a towel we used for the bathroom. We booked a 3rd night and added an extra room. Check-in for the 2nd room was supposed to be at 2pm, however room wasnt ready until 3.30pm-4pm.
We were also made to believe the rooms would be cleaned daily as stated on booking.com. No matter how many days we stayed, but we were told otherwise. One staff member said we had to ask the Housekeeping staff to clean our room, whilst another said that it only gets cleaned if we are long stayers. My brother and I stayed here not long ago, and the room was cleaned without us having to ask. Very confusing.

A bit disappointing
Pros:

I loved the soft bed, great shower, nice bathroom. Staff were friendly overall.

Cons:

Room smelled of cigarettes. The aircon unit made a loud buzzing noise every 5 mins or so, disrupting any attempts to sleep. Window bolted shut and doesn’t open. Very warm and airless as I turned aircon unit off due to persistent noise.

Top place to stay
Pros:

Great friendly staff and great ammenities

Cons:

There is a noise in the room that sounded like a loud mobile phone vibrating on a table that was going off every 30 seconds it was so annoying and a ramp somewhere to gain entry for disabled customers

Had to travel to UNSW and that took a while but this has nothing to do with the property

Pros:

首先是地理位置非常不错 距离火车站走路也就1-2 分钟 火车站有电梯 对于游客非常友好 前台服务非常礼貌 热情 我们刚到的时候不熟悉Penshurst 她给我们介绍了很多 酒店房间大小是很让人舒服的大小 而不是那种很逼仄的 卫生间干净明亮畅快 看起来很舒服 整体清扫的非常干净！退房方便！

Lovely modernised old pub, great atmosphere and sports bar. Would have scored excellent if it wasn’t for the poky room w
Pros:

After the incident with the underwear we were offered another room. I just wish they’d given this one to us first. It was excellent, spacious, clean and a nice outlook. Such a shame we had to experience that first room! Considering also that many rooms were empty.

Cons:

The room we were given was tiny, not good value for the price we paid. And then…the very worst experience, faeces stained woman’s underwear on the floor beside the bed!!
We dined in and had a lovely meal, the staff were very friendly. Until I found a black hair in mine (it wasn’t the chef’s, he was bald)
We were too shocked to take a pic of that room or the underwear!
