OWNER MARCOL NEEDS TO INVEST MORE IN HOTEL
Pros:

Rooms are spacious, Wi-Fi is Good, breakfast is continental, staff at the reception is Good, they clean room everyday and change the towels.
Flip side of the hotel is they do not have electricity backup. Quito is having a lot of electricity cuts. so if the electricity goes off then nothing is working in the hotel. you cannot have a Wi-Fi, cannot recharge your mobile, no hot water and it's complete dark. Owner Marcol should look after electricity backup and put some investment in this hotel. They also have a black dog to welcome you along with the hotel staff!

Nice gem outside town
Pros:

Off the main entertainment strip and 30 min walk into old town but great owners with bespoke free breakfast. Resident hummingbird outside our window. Recommend.

Pleasantly surprised
Pros:

I was surprised to see this budget friendly hotel had such nice large rooms with nice and clean linens. The area is close to the unversity metro station as well as just around the block from a supermarket making it easy to pick up water or drinks and get on public transportation.

Only downside is there are a few clubs across the street. If your room faces the street, it may be noisy even with the windows closed.
