Kudos all around
Pros:

Mascota is charming (cobblestone streets, colorfully painted homes, lively town square anchored by a beautiful church, small anthropology museum) and this hotel with great tile work and comfortable interior courtyards fits right in to the atmosphere.

Cons:

Step up to the bathroom could be a trip hazard for some.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location
Pros:

Amazing location, right in beautiful downtown Mascota. Steps from the main plaza. The people were wonderfully friendly. Coffee was available in the public areas. The hotel was gorgeous, with beautiful plants and a fountain to enjoy.

Cons:

The rooms were a tad small, but that's not unexpected in a quaint place like this.

La atención del personal. Estuvimos encerrados por temas desafortunados que se suscitaron de inseguridad en gran parte del país, pero el personal del hotel en todo momento vieron por el bien y seguridad de sus huespedes

Mucho ruido de la calle desde muy temprano y al estar ubicada nuestra habitación junto a la ropería desde muy temprano se escuchaba mucho ruido

Me Fascina la decoración, las camas cómodas con suficientes almohadas y ropa de cama calentita.

La ubicación es inmejorable ya que tienes todo tan cerca y tu alcancé, el centro que es la plaza y los lugares para comer todo esta muy cerca caminando.

El jardín es precioso, se siente buena vibra, y es un deleite a la vista.

Me gusta que haya cafetera con insumos y tambien muy conveniente que tiene un frigobar.

Hoping it was just a bad streak for us
Pros:

I enjoyed the location although it can also be a downside due to the noise from bars, parties, and more. However, everything was whitin walking distance, restaurants, shops, cafés, etc. Which was great for our family trip. I also enjoyed the patio and sitting area, the decor was adorable and the plants were wonderful. Room concerns were addressed quickly and my parents even got moved to another room since the first night the street noise didn't allow them to sleep.

Cons:

To start up, I'd 100 recommend that you book directly with the hotel rather than using a third party platform- we had a misunderstanding and ended up paying extra (for extra people since the booking and charges were done by occupancy and not by room, which was very disappointing) the staff offered to cancel the stay of we wished but we were exhausted after a long trip and just ended up paying more. Secondly, our shower drain was clogged and the shower flooded, after a few minutes someone came to help us and they did do their best to fix it as quick as possible and it was workable but it was still taking a long time to drain so the mat would get soaked. Another downside was the noise in the night time, which I take is because of the December parties but something to consider if your plan is to find a restful place. The upstairs rooms were tiny but the one we booked downstairs was beautiful and very comfortable.
