Sterling Banashree Badami

Stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to Badami heritage sight. The hotel is a little secluded as it is away from other hotels. This can a plus and minus but with own car it wasn’t an issue for us. Chetan from front desk was very helpful to arrange car, auto, guide for sight seeing. All services provided were to our expectation. The resort is set amidst lot of greenery and the cottage had a nice sit out. The room was super spacious and buffet spread was decent. WiFi worked like a song. It was a rainy week so in parts the path was slushy though paved. We enjoyed our stay in Badami.

Stayed here for 2 nights to see Badami. The hotel is located a little out of main town. The cottages were good. The food was ok. Front desk was helpful in arranging car guide etc. the wifi worked well. Good place to stay

Overall a very good experience

A nice place to park yourself if visiting Badami , Aihole , pattadakal. Comfortable rooms , nice facility , good food and super friendly staff , would definitely recommend staying here

We stayed in Sterling Badami resort for 3 nights( 28th - 30th December 2024). It is approximately 5 kms from Badami Bus stand. We were a group of eight - 6 adults and 2 children. We occupied Rooms 103-105. Stay was very comfortable.
Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. Air conditioners in our rooms were working quite well. Each room is provided with individual Geiser. Also each room had a Electric kettle and you can make tea or coffee whenever needed. Room service staff were very good , courteous and cooperative. They took care of our requirements very well.
As for amenities, there is a swimming pool , Table tennis, Shuttle badminton court and carrom available for use to guests without any hiring charges. Also there was Electric toy bike and electric car for children on chargeable basis. You can also hire bicycles. Sterling was also facilitating supervised rock climbing for which you need to go outside the resort some 4 kms away. Our children spent good time in the pool / shuttle badminton/ Table tennis.
Restaurant food was very tasty although we could see some shortage of staff. The staff were very decent and willing to accommodate the requirements of the guests. We had tried buffet breakfast and dinner. We also tried a la carte for lunch. They also provide room service if needed.
Sterling reception staff also ( Mr.Shekar and others) were helpful in arranging cab services from external travel operators for local sightseeing visits.
We also take this opportunity to thank Mr.Tenzyn a thorough gentleman and Sterling manager who is on deputation from Kodaikanal Sterling resort to set up this Badami resort. He was very helpful and kind. When one of our member fell sick at the resort, he coordinated and rushed medical help from Badami. He shared his mobile number with us and requested to call him for any emergency without any hesitation. He gave the confidence that we can depend on him for any requirement. We enjoyed the Badami stay very much and it was a memorable experience.

Room was okay. Shower drain did not work. Water gathered while showering. I didn’t feel clean showering in that pool of water. Thank goodness, we were there for only one night. Originally, I was supposed to stay there for two nights but I had changed it to one night and some how the management was not aware of it and they weren’t very happy about it. They made me pull my email of cancellation and the new booking. The front desk guy was ill-mannered. I would not recommend that place but there really aren’t enough decent places to stay in that remote village.

Property is little away from Badami Town. Temples are about 5-6 kms.
Smooth check in and front office people are friendly and always ready to help. Housekeeping team was very good.
Rooms are spacious and clean , big washroom with a tub , an outdoor place to sit. All the amenities are there.
Lot of space for parking and the area is safe.
Restaurant is big,buffet breakfast was good but otherwise service is poor. you wait forever for the food to arrive.
Overall a good stay

Its located in rural countryside near Badami.
Good relaxing place with very courteous & helpful staff.

One suggestion - keep door mat in the Room entrance space and GM Mr Shekhar Betageri very helpfull.
Swmming pool is very clean and big one also. We will visit with my family in near future

Awesome cottages with a green view all over, very neatly maintained property.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, along with my family and it was an experience to remember. Nestled in the midst of plush green fields, the location is nothing short of breathtaking. The scenic views from every corner of the property create a tranquil and serene atmosphere, making it the perfect getaway for those seeking peace and relaxation.

Although the staff were very nice, the resort was in need of some love. I understand it has subsequently changed ownership. When we stayed it was Morpho Banashree Resort. The breakfast canteen had issues with roof leakage and mould. The food was very average and we were forced to eat here due to a lack of choices to eat in Badami. The food made all of us including our driver ill. It also took too long to arrive to our rooms. The room itself was comfortable and spacious.

We visited this place at the end of May. We stayed here in cottages. Resort is good with exceptionally big n neat pool! And other outdoor activities like badminton cricket and nature walk! They have indoor play zone too. Our experience was amazing!
Need to improve food quality in taste!

The resort is little far from Badami, like 6 km. But it is very comfortable and serene environment. The rooms and bathroom are clean and spacious.There is a big specious verandah for every room where you can have your tea and relax.It is a new resort but everything is well thought of and cleanly maintained. The staff is courteous and everyone has smile on face. The food is excellent. This was the best hotel in our whole Hampi -Badami tour.
Very peaceful environment, neatly maintained garden with fragrant flowers. They also have a swimming pool.Good WiFi.
Will surely visit again.

I recently stayed at Morpho Banashree Resort in Badami, Karnataka. Despite being a new establishment, the staff seemed undertrained, lacking the expected 4-star service. The kitchen's limited menu, citing low hotel occupancy, was disappointing over the three nights. While the spacious and clean cottages were a highlight, persistent foul odors in the toilets, even after complaints, were a drawback. The staff, though helpful, appeared clueless about service. On a positive note, the pool was clean. Given the small town setting, it might be the best available, but the overall experience didn't justify the price.

This is my worst hotel experience in India ever!

First of all, it is definitely not a 4 star hotel but more a dodgy American type motel.

When we arrived, nobody came to welcome us or take my luggage! My driver used the honk to signal our arrival, still nobody bothered to come.
Then the receptionist was being very rude to me when I asked questions about breakfast and dinner times, which he had not given me and which in the end were wrong.
The swimming pool had no mattresses and no umbrellas and was located next to a sort of hangar building next to the drivers’ parking lot.
Because of loud construction noises the entire afternoon, I could not have a nap nor rest.
Beers were only available with room service and not at the restaurant and payable in cash only…
The restaurant area was ugly and had no air conditioning on!
So I decided to order with room service, which I had to wait for more than one hour! Moreover they did not come to collect the tray, so I had to sleep with the smell of curry.
There was no safe nor hangers in the room.
The hotel is very close to a noisy room and I was woken up at 6 am by trucks and loud music.
The was not a single non Indian dish at breakfast, so I ate bananas.
Last but not least, as I was checking out, the receptionist just burped in my face!!!

Net net never ever stay in this hotel!

Not a 4star hotel: basic room and no hot water. Wifi was not working in any part of the hotel. In the nature but not a quiet place, we were wake up at 5am by a loud music coming from the village in front.Swimming pool looks nice and the food and service at the restaurant was good.

We spent one night here during a beautiful road trip between Bengalore and Goa. This was the only bad experience of our tour.
The garden of the hotel is indeed nice. Few rooms had clothes hanged outside.
The room was dirty and in very poor conditions. The shower was not functioning properly, and we were offered a plastic bassine to wash ourselves. Toilets were not cleaned at all.
Restaurant looks like a canteen. Alcohol is not available. Common living room consist in a very large hall with few chairs.
Access to Internet is not stable.

We had a lovely calm stay at Morpho banashree on 31st night .the cottages are beautiful, spacious room, bigger comfortable beds.the food was good and served fresh so it took a little time .
Also would like to add tht I had left my shawl and when asked it they hv it they looked for it and it was there.the best part was they instantly arranged for shipping it to Bangalore address.thank u shekhar Betageri ,general manager for responding so quick. Thank u
