Our stay at Kalandara Luxury Resort Lombok was an experience to remember. The villa was stunning — spacious, private, and perfectly designed to take in the drop-dead gorgeous views of the sea and hills. Every morning felt like waking up in paradise.

The service was exceptional from start to finish. Special thanks to Wina and the reception team for their warm hospitality and seamless arrangements. The drivers — Emy, Ahyar, and Taufik — were friendly, punctual, and always ready to help. Riyan from room service went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, and all the restaurant staff made every meal a pleasure with their smiles and attentiveness.

However, we had a bad experience at the Spa and unfortunately can’t recommend it. Some of the other services also felt overpriced, such as the BBQ dinner with limited variety and the laundry service.

Overall, though, Kalandara is a breathtaking resort with world-class views and genuinely kind staff. With a few refinements to pricing and service consistency, it would easily be a five-star experience.

We can’t faulty anything! The service was impeccable. The staff really goes above and beyond for the customer. A major thanks to the restaurant staff, especially Suelee (not sure about the spelling). And a major thanks to the girls in the spa Reva and Ella, excellent treatments!

The rooms were clean, large with a private pool and amazing view. We will definitely be back to this very hotel.

Hadde et fantastisk opphold på hotellet på vår bryllupsreise. For det første var hotellet i svært god stand. Det var alltid rent, sengen og maten var veldig god, og det føltes generelt luksuriøst.

Servicen på hotellet var helt særegen. De ansatte gjorde mye ekstra og var utrolig imøtekommende. En hyllest til ansatte i restauranten som tok godt vare på mannen min da han ble syk, og hadde samtaler med meg da jeg satt i restauranten alene. Og til Wulana for å stille opp uansett hva jeg trengte.

The staff made a lot of effort to make us feel at home. Service was exceptional. We had multiple meals at the restaurant. We communicated to the hotel one morning that we were delayed for breakfast and the team managed to take our orders in advance and serve us post-breakfast hours.

Food was good with enough variety. The team will check if we are comfortable with our orders. The same goes with the reception and spa. Special call out to Dina, Wulan and a few whom we didn't get the name. Always huge smiles on their faces. Rooms were new, clean and quiet enough. They provided ear plugs for the muslim prayers. Very thoughtful. Will be good to have better lighting in the master bedroom in the 2 bedroom villa. It was very dim and not conducive for reading. A gym will be great too!

Really nice hotel

This property was enjoyable from the staff, the excursions, the massages and food. I would highly recommend the destination and location to anyone.

Superb location and concept but disappointing food options in comparison to other 4 star hotels/villas. The service and hospitality also wasn’t up to 4 star standard. We would recommend staying at Qunci Villas in Sengigi or Bask on Meno for a better more polished experience.

Super Unterkunft, sehr freundliches Personal. Alles sehr sauber und ein richtig schöner Ausblick. Einziger Punkt: die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, man hört jegliche Windgeräusche sowie die Straße ziemlich gut und laut im Zimmer.

A Hidden Gem in Lombok – Unforgettable Stay at Kalandara Resort

Kalandara Resort is truly a slice of paradise in Lombok. The breathtaking view of the sea from the resort is simply magnificent – the perfect setting for a peaceful and luxurious getaway. The villa was impeccably clean, offering complete privacy, especially with the private pool and spacious layout. We especially loved the large bathtub – a perfect touch of indulgence!

The food was a delightful highlight – a wonderful mix of traditional Indonesian flavours and an international selection including Japanese and Turkish cuisine. We also enjoyed the refreshing jamu served during our stay – a lovely cultural experience.

What truly made our stay memorable was the exceptional service. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special shout-out to Wulan, Wulan Meiyi, Olivia, Wina, Najwa, and our kind and reliable drivers Ahyar and Emi – thank you for your warmth and hospitality.

The transfers to and from the airport were smooth and comfortable, adding to the overall ease of the experience. We left with nothing but fond memories and have already recommended Kalandara to friends and family.

From the moment we arrived to our parting goodbye, this property delivered in every way. The peaceful atmosphere and surroundings bush landscape creates the perfect atmosphere to forgot about the rest of the world. Breakfast is served with a view to match, you feel like you are sitting amongst the tree tops. This was the perfect place to celebrate my husband’s 50th. Don’t settle for second best, stay here.

You can have real relaxation. The space of the resort is quite small so not many things to do.

Établissement d’un rare standing. Aucune critique à faire tout est parfait que ce soit l’agencement, la beauté, et la propreté de la suite. L’intimité est assurée car il n’y a aucun vis à vis. La vue sur la plage était splendide.
Idem pour le spa : nous avons pu profiter d’un massage en couple avec un personnel d’un professionnalisme exemplaire.
La nourriture du restaurant était très bonne aussi. Service de chambre réactif et à l’écoute.
Tout le personnel est très agréable. Je recommande fortement.

Amszing place with amazing staff

This property is absolutely beautiful but it is quite isolated and there is not much to do nearby, infact nothing within walking distance except the beach. Cocktails at the resort were not nice at all (despite the hefty price tag) and when I asked what alcohol they use they said local made alcohol which probably accounts for the very strong taste. Food was ok but not the best I’ve had at a resort costing that much per night. Overall room and view from room was incredible but we left a night early because we were just quite bored especially in the evenings.

This is my first time in Lombok & I really enjoy the stay with my family. The staffs are so kind & nice, specially the head chef, restaurant manager Imran & Ulan from the restaurant. My family will never forget ulan because of her cheerfulness & kindness. But anyway thanks to every single staffs to make out this journey unforgettable.

The rooms have an incredible view of the ocean, with each room having an infinity pool. Our pool didn't have steps to get in or out, so this might be an issue for some people. The staff here are amazing, so friendly and very accommodating. Stand out staff members were Imron and Wulan. Thank you both for making our stay wonderful. Your smiles and happy nature will be remembered.

The worst stay in recent times. The general manager of the hotel was unapologetic and ridiculously annoying guy. Some of the highlights: (1) The food in the restaurant was stale and raw/uncooked (2) The bathrooms were clogged with water (we stayed in a 3 room villa - prime property) (3) The service was pathethic, we were told that restaurant was serving other group, despite us arriving earlier than that group (4) The alcohol was not available after one serve (5) Dirty linens and sheets . The worse part was our interaction with the so called general manager who was totally indifferent and apologetic - despite paying a bomb he casually told us that we are not perfect.

We stayed for 5 nights for our honeymoon and had the most amazing experience. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating, the resort had stunning views.
