The location was very walkable to downtown. It had a nice mini fridge.
I wasn't aware that no one would be in the lobby. They are supposed to email you your room # and code to enter your room. We arrived an hour early at 3pm. We went in the lobby to check in as I've never had a problem being early anywhere else. There was a sign w a text # so I texted to get my info. After several minutes, I got a reply saying I wouldn't get my info until 4pm. Rearranged our plans, went to eat and came back at 3:50. At 4:06 I texted back that I still hadn't received an email with room# etc.
No reply. So I checked booking.com and found a number to call. I called and after many rings, it picked up asking for my code, which I never received. By 4:20, I still hadn't received an email. I saw a maintenance guy and explained. He used his phone to call someone and handed me his phone. The person on the other line said they were emailing me as we spoke. Why he couldn't or wouldn't just tell me my info was frustrating. Still no email. So then he said he'd text it to me. After a few minutes I got the text.
Finally got in the room, there was a problem with the latch so it took a few. The tiny room was that overdone millennial gray, vinyl floor white trim. Only a bed a tiny dining table table w 2 chairs. No comfy chair or sofa no rug, just hard surfaces . The fireplace insert was not functional. Wasn't even hooked up. I know bc I pulled it out of the wall looking for a switch to turn on. Nothing. Also, there are rooms on both side of the building but they put everyone on the same side so it was a little noisy.
The next morning 2 different people knocked right at 11 telling me I had to leave.
I told one of them I'd just be a few minutes. After all, they were half an hour late checking me in in the first place.
Then they knocked again at 11:12. FFS! We were out by 11:15am.
Wouldn't recommend.
Great location.
Street noises at ight
Great location
Fiberglass place remote needed new battery. Only had one wash cloth and room wasn't cleaned or trash, fresh towels for the next day
Convenient location, no need to check in or out.
The fan in the bathroom was covered in dust, the bathroom door hinges loose and was very difficult to close. The frame around the tv is broken. I was excited about the electric fireplace, but couldn’t figure out how to turn it on…. No remote for it, no accessible buttons.
good location
Air conditioner wall unit is loud. They should supply extra pillows since the provided are inexpensive and uncomfortable.
Clean
Very convenient location to everything in the downtown area.
The bed itself was comfortable but the pillow on the bed was very flat. It would have been nice to have an extra pillow. Air conditioner worked but never really cooled the room so it ran constantly.
Easy acess to everything in town. Easy of checkong in and out.
Now shampoo cream rinse seperate. Not enough body wash. Now a days most hotels have this so we r not use to bringing.
It looked new and clean.
The airconditioner unit was so loud that we couldn't use it while sleeping. We were too hot but the noise was worse. The bathroom fan was extremely loud, too. We did not know about the free wi-fi. That would have been nice to know about in our room.
Everything
Nothing
They canceled the wrong night on me then showed up on my room at 10:30 at night pounding on the door saying room service and then acted like I broke into the room treated me like a criminal made me pay for another night more expensive than any other night, I’ve stayed there $120. Yes, they gave it back. I believe to my work but never formally apologized was not a good experience and sometimes it’s hard to get a hold of them because it’s a contactless place just be warned that they might do some shady stuff like this.
Location was great for our daily destination and to downtown. TV was good size and the room had adequate lighting. Small counter for small micro and refrig gave some extra needed space. Table with 2 chairs and a faux fireplace (we didn't try - not sure if it works as a heater?) in a clean room with white walls and ceilings (assuming art is coming later as it appears newly renovated). A Help Yourself snacks in the unattended lobby. Good accessible parking lot.
Am not a fan of no host/manager at the location. Everything via text with remote check in. Could be that I'm old school, but I want to speak to someone in person. Also, pretty cheaply done refurbish of an old hotel. Beds were hard as rocks and very uncomfortable and only 2 thin pillows on each bed. Husband is a housebuilder and kept remarking on the corners that were cut in order to refresh the place. Toilet was very small, to fit in a smaller bathroom. Shower curtain didn't cover to the floor of the shower, so a lot of water on the floor which created a slippery hazard. No included breakfast.
Clean
My first time staying with out a front desk check in. As a solo traveler, somehow I felt isolated.
Super care
Noning
Super comfy large king bed.
Light outside the door in the hall shined into the room, on all sides of the room darkening blinds. Made the room slightly bright all night. Facilities said the light had to stay on in the hall. So I used towels to limit as much of the light as possible which worked great.
