The staff and the hotel were both beautiful and accommodating. I only wish that we would have gone when we could have enjoyed the property and grounds more.
The rooms, the hotel were absolutely spotless, so clean. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was no ordinary continental breakfast, more like a fabulous feast, and the food was delicious. Lounge is super spacious and a great place to relax and unwind. Supper impressed by this property and cant wait to see the grounds in the summer
Everything was exceptional, food, drinks, atmosphere and service.
This is probably a fifth time staying here. It’s a hidden jewel of the Catskills! Rooms are amazingly clean the old Homestead for dinner. It’s one of the very best breakfast is amazing..
This is our fourth trip back to the boutique Hotel and every time we go, the experience excellent service, fantastic accommodations very friendly staff
I booked an ADA compliant room and called and asked several times if it was a walk in shower where they confirmed yes. Then they give me a room with a tub/shower. There was no food available. Take out at the restaurant was not available which I was NOT told about ahead of time. The staff was extremely rude. This is really disappointing as the hotel itself is beautiful and in one of my favorite locations.
The Bradstan exceeded our expectations! Such a beautiful property and the rooms were exquisitely furnished. Services were excellent and the atmosphere so relaxing. We were sad to leave!
My husband and I spent the weekend here in mid-October without the kids (thank you, grandparents!) and had a really nice time. The hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable. The staff were all very attentive, but also casual, warm, and friendly in the best way. We stayed in a standard room with no deck, but still felt there were lots of places to sit and enjoy the weather and scenery. The beds were comfortable (the pillows almost too fluffy if that's possible) and the lighting, fan, and thermostat allowed us to keep the room very comfortable. The bathrobes were heavy and luxurious. The bathtub was glorious! I also really appreciated that the chef that handles the complimentary breakfast was able to accommodate my food allergy so I didn't have to have a sad granola bar from the bottom of my backpack.
Sunrise Lake was beautiful. We walked around the whole thing twice, and I took one of the kayaks out one afternoon. Having that lake was really nice for us since all the other hiking trails we saw were at least a half hour drive (not insurmountable, but long if you're just looking for a quick walk).
We would definitely come back here!
This place is amazing. Everyone was so nice. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and over the top as far as comfort. I highly recommend this hotel. I plan to go back. The secluded setting is so relaxing. What brought us to this hotel was a trip to Woodstock. What made us not want to leave the hotel was the beautiful setting and comfort. The breakfast was also amazing. Great place to get away, kick back and relax.
The setting is idyllic. Every detail is so well fought out. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Ideal for a wedding venue. And the extraordinary Jeanne Macdonald, Cabaret singer Park excellence every Labor Day in the event room. My husband and I will definitely be returning many times.
My husband and I
We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The room was immaculate and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. Breakfast was a true delight—hearty, delicious, and with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. I personally love cappuccino, so it would be lovely if there were a Jura or equivalent coffee machine to cater to that—but that’s just me being picky, and I can imagine it’s not easy to maintain such a balance.
The grounds are breathtaking and impeccably maintained, and it’s clear the owners must be true nature lovers—the plant life they nurture encourages bees to visit, which adds a wonderful, lively touch to the peaceful environment. Maintaining such beauty while balancing hospitality and cleanliness is no small feat. We especially loved having access to the private lake—paddleboating there was such a joy!
We were blessed with beautiful weather, which made enjoying the peaceful trails even more special. It was the perfect setting to practice mindfulness and truly disconnect. This stay was restorative in every sense—I can’t recommend it highly enough!
This hotel was beautiful and definitely what my husband and I needed. Relaxing and great vibes. Everything was top notch. We got a standard king bed and it was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back
This place was amazing. Beautiful hotel and rooms. The restaurant Homestead was exceptional. My husband and I will definitely be back. So relaxing and the vibe super quaint. Can’t wait to go back
Lovely stay in beautiful Junior Suite. We would have loved to have had regionally-produced snacks and beverages available complimentary or for purchase in either our room, or in the lobby--I would have spent money on a minibar, if given the chance. Our breakfasts were excellent -- hats off to chef, who also went out of her way to make us sandwiches on nice French bread in our boxed lunch. Dinner at the restaurant is a bit hit-and-miss. The duck was terrific. Other entrees were so-so, e.g., e.g., trout, chicken. For us, the clientele demographic is a bit old and staid -- though we're in our fifties and sixties, guests felt a bit stuffy. We would recommend the Bradstan to older friends with plenty of spending money looking for a couple of quiet nights in the country, but we'll seek out a somewhat -- only somewhat -- livelier setting, next time.
Let me say again: the room itself was really terrific, and the staff is excellent, professional and very friendly, qualities we highly value!
We stayed at the Bradstan after a concert at Bethel Woods. My only negative comment is we didn't stay long enough! The complimentary breakfast is outstanding!! Homemade pastries, fresh fruit, rockin guacamole! Everything about this hotel was 5 star plus. Will definitely return for a longer stay and take advantage of the lake kayaking!
The Bradstan Boutique Hotel is a great place to getaway and unwind for a few days. The rooms are beautiful, the property is stunning and the food is delicious.
Fabulous property. From the minute you check in Patty is there to help. The pool is an extra delight and the hike around the lake. We even took out a canoe. Staff is amazing Hotel is BEAUTIFUL.
Beautiful property, outstanding service, and so much thoughtful attention to every single detail.
Night clerk made an error with our reservation and when we checked in they upgraded us to a beautiful suite.
Can't say enough about this hotel. Worth every penny.
The Bradstan is a breath of fresh air in the Catskills. There is nothing like it in the area - pristine grounds, hotel is immaculate, modern, and the amenities are top notch. I agree with a previous reviewer that the food is standard. The buffet breakfast is great, but the chef at the restaurant uses a heavy hand. More healthy options would be appreciated. The negative? I was told the previously advertised "complimentary" shuttle to Bethel Woods would cost $25 per person - OK, then I was told there were not sufficient takers so they would not be running. I felt this was a bit of bait and switch. Staff is friendly and helpful but could use more training. All told, I would recommend.
A Perfect 15/10 — Our Home Away From Home
This was our 3rd sister trip in a row to The Bradstan/Eldred Preserve, and before we even left, we booked our 4th! I truly don’t know where to begin…
The grounds are pristine and spectacular — with beautiful walking paths that lead to a gorgeous lake where we paddle boated every day. Walking around the lake is equally breathtaking, with chairs thoughtfully placed along the route to take in the sunrise or sunset. Every detail feels intentional and beautiful.
The rooms are on another level. We stayed in a lodge room with two queens — it felt like home, but elevated. A beautiful balcony view, a bathroom with heated towels — every detail was thought of. The pool and jacuzzi were wonderfully relaxing and perfectly maintained.
The food? Also another level. Whether at the bar, restaurant, ordering lunch, or enjoying the beautiful breakfast spread — everything was fresh, delicious, and left you wanting seconds.
But the heart of The Bradstan/Eldred Preserve is the people — and this is the reason we keep coming back. Irvin and Marque at the front desk are simply the BEST. Warren makes sure everything is working perfectly and always greets you with kindness. Louis, a young man who spends his summers working here, is a true gentleman. We can’t forget Scott and Eddie — who make all the magic happen and make you feel like family. And then there’s Steve, who may or may not work at The Eldred, but is always a fixture at breakfast — making my sister and me laugh and smile every morning.
Scott and Eddie— my sister and I can’t wait to make more memories here, and to bring our families and children to experience this special place.
So, long story short… The Eldred Preserve is a 15 out of 10 in every way!

Barbara
