This is an hotel from the 80’s that closed for a decade or more and was refurbished to open in ‘22. Despite the clunky architecture and core materials - the Balinese-inspired decor is quite successful. The pool and rooftop bar are impressive. Breakfast is a bun-fight. And the fusion of modest conferences and package tourists makes for a slightly uncomfortable vibe. The lifts are a nightmare at peak times. Not bad if the price is right, given the prime Playa Victoria location.
No soundproofing. We heard everything! Woken up at 6am one morning and 12:30am at night to the people next to us yelling at each other. And, they wouldn’t allow us to check out just 1 hour late. Should have had better service for the price!
It’s far from the old town, but it’s in front of the best beach in town. The area around is busy with other hotels. Hotel pools were really nice. Our view was incredible. The gym needs an upgrade and air conditioning. Food was average even though there tons of options. I would suggest to focus on quality rather than quantity of the food. Overall good hotel and good value for the money. I would stay here again. With small improvements it could be great.
Only thing I found was staff in restaurant staff were very unhelpful and showed very little concern for solo travellers couples got exceptionally good service but as solo I was over looked multiple times
Luxurious
Amazing hotel with beach view. Had the swim up superior which was fantastic. Breakfast extremely good and restaurants exceptional value.
Very nice stay location for the beach a bit far from the old town but easy to find transportation
We had a confirmed reservation at Hotel Cádiz Bahía for our family of five (2 adults, 3 young children). The room was spacious with a separate bedroom, a king bed, and a living room with a sleeper sofa—more than enough space for all of us.
When we arrived at midnight after a long day of travel, the front desk refused to allow all five of us to stay in the room we booked. Instead, they insisted we book a second room for four nights at an outrageous extra cost of €1,000, or they would not let us stay. We explained that the room we reserved was perfectly adequate, but they were completely unhelpful, uncompromising, and unwilling to make any reasonable accommodation.
We were strong-armed into paying double for our stay because we had no other option at midnight with three tired kids. The lack of compassion, flexibility, and basic hospitality was shocking. This is not the way to treat paying guests, especially families.
Our experience left us feeling deceived and taken advantage of, and it completely soured our time in Cádiz. If you value honesty, fair treatment, and genuine hospitality, do not stay at Hotel Cádiz Bahía.
Fabulous stay, beautiful property
Common areas (lobby and hallways): The lobby has a spacious, clean, and modern design with marble floors and decorative lighting. The hallway lighting creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the finishes look well-maintained. This suggests a good level of comfort in shared spaces.
• Bathroom/shower: The shower appears simple and modern, with clean tiling and built-in toiletries. However, it’s more functional than luxurious, with a straightforward design and no premium fixtures visible. There was no visible waste basket in the room. The WiFi was extremely slow and spotty.

Staff not as helpful as we wished.
We upgraded to a ‘swim up’ room and it was worth every penny. The pool overlooks the hotel pool and the beach and is just fantastic at any time of day (or night). Hotel staff on reception were exceptional (she declined my offer to play ‘rock, paper, scissors for the price of the room upgrade though 😂). The hotel provides towels for the pool/ beach which is really handy. The breakfast buffet was incredible. I can recommend the omelette which is cooked fresh to order. Parking is really easy and it’s a €6 taxi ride to old town or a €1.20 bus ride ( we did both).
Great hotel and great food!
Hotel Cadiz Bahia by Q Hotels is a perfect hotel for a 'getaway' to Cadiz: it's close enough to the town center to walk to most sites, or take a cab or bus; it is literally across the street from the more expensive Hotel Playa Victoria, and it has a swimming pool and cafe overlooking the beach of Playa Victoria - which is on the ocean.
The hotel is amazing with excellent services! I would love to go back to Cadiz
Great hotel and location! Beachfront views and nice pool. Daily housekeeping and beverages provided first time in mini fridge-thanks!
Nice pool, large rooms. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff.
It was a great stay.. Only two questions are why the towels were so small and why only two rolls of not very nice toilet paper?
Great 4 night stay, food was delicious and service was great. There was ant problem however
