A Beautiful Oasis in the Heart of Palermo
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Bastione Spasimo Boutique Hotel during our honeymoon.

The hotel’s gardens are absolutely gorgeous and feel like a true oasis in the middle of the city. After spending the day sightseeing in Palermo’s June heat, it was such a luxury to return and relax by the beautiful pool. It provided the perfect escape from the busy streets and made our stay feel incredibly special.

The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city’s main attractions on foot while still feeling peaceful and secluded once you’re back at the hotel.

The staff were warm, welcoming and always happy to help. Our room was stunning, beautifully designed and very comfortable.

A special mention has to go to the breakfast. My husband is gluten-free, and we were amazed by the variety available for him. He was treated to delicious gluten-free pastries and even gluten-free arancini, something we’ve never come across before when travelling. He was absolutely delighted and felt genuinely catered for rather than being an afterthought.

We would happily stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palermo. A truly memorable stay.

The hotel is like a little oasis in what is actually not a very clean city. But the premises and especially the garden were perfect. The staff was very friendly and eager to help.

Pros:

Cet hôtel a tout pour être parfait, la localisation proche du centre, un personnel trés gentil, des petits déjeuners magnifiques même quand vous avez un régime alimentaire spécial, le jardin et la piscine. La chambre était belle.

Cons:

Mais cet hôtel donne sur une grande place oû il y a des restaurants, des aires de jeux et des animations et le bruit peut y être tellement fort que même avec des bouchons d'oreilles, on ne dormir qu'à partir de une heure du matin. Voilà qui m'empêche de mrttre un 10 à cet établissement.

Super Lage und ein Hort der Ruhe im sonst sehr lauten Palermo. Der Garten ist wunderschön. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und immer freundlich

An oasis of calm with exceptional service
Pros:

We spent 2 nights here at the beginning of our Sicily trip. The hotel has been very thoughtfully planned with very comfortable, tasteful rooms and great use of quirky spaces in a very authentic building. All the staff were delightful and so helpful (particularly Alessandro who waited for us when we arrived very late and found us a place to eat ). The gardens are beautiful with so many lovely colourful plants and flowers and it’s a truly peaceful spot yet behind the gates, you are perfectly located within walking distances of many of the main attractions, great restaurants. Would highly recommend.

1) not enough sockets or USB charging points. It would take me half an hour, as a non-professional electrician, to upgrade the sockets significantly. Not good enough.

2) The WiFi is patchy and poor. It’s 2026!

3) “Designer” sinks which have no space to rest any toiletries. A triumph of form over function.

4) I have never paid this much for a hotel room which doesn’t have two chairs to sit in, yet has lots of open space.

A volte fare la bella figura non serve. Si il disegnatore avesse pensato di più quest’albergo sarebbe meglio.

Fabulous Hotel with Amazing Staff ..a must stay if you visit Palermo

The location... an oasis in Palermo, you can walk to everything!
Our room was large & comfortable with a coffee machine.
The staff were so lovely & so friendly & helpful.

Cons:

The pool was so Hot .. 30+ degrees
No good for cooling down.

The location is excellent and the staff on reception were exceptionally helpful. The room was very clean and accessible.

Cons:

The hotel does not have a bar or lounge area so there is nowhere to sit and relax inside. However, all in all it was really good value and I would highly recommend it.
