I love the property, it was very easy to check in, and the hotel is very cool!
Awesome boutique hotel in the middle of everything! We were here for the Macon Film Festival and the Woodward provided a great home base and comfy room. Easy access with clear instructions on how to get into the room and parking was included! The hotels bar Quill had some of THE best and most inventive cocktails! You gotta try the Salt to the Sea!
Very comfortable!
My daughter and I booked a room here, we didn’t stay the night. The area around the hotel felt isolated and unsafe, there were many buildings that appeared to be vacant and unkempt, the lack of foot traffic along the street and the unfortunate circumstance of two homeless people lying on the sidewalk, all convinced us we should stay somewhere else.
It was odd that there was nobody on property when I got there to check in. Did they send you an email with the codes for the outside doors in the bedrooms. Parking was a little odd but head anticipated that based on other reviews. Room was OK had hoped for a little more ambience and feel based on the outlook of the hotel
There was a bit of sound from the alley as the area woke up on Monday.
Didn’t know street would be so noisy!
Film crew outside our window from 6 pm until 1 am yelling. Cop cars and FBI tank outside window for hours. At first we thought there was something terrible going on in downtown.
Racing cop cars repeatedly for hours.
We should have been notified- we would have chosen a different hotel. Not much sleep!
2nd time staying here! It’s convenient for the concerts and restaurants.
Quick stay for a concert, first time. Not a traditional hotel, so process is different but very convenient to the Capitol Theatre. Great bar!! Heads up, parking can be tricky with large vehicle.
This hotel was meticulously clean and rooms were newly renovated. There is no front desk for check in . You receive an email with a door code. Parking is also a little quirky. You pull into an alley between the hotel and the building next door. You unload your vehicle in the alley then drive down the alley a little further to the parking garage and park on the 2-3 floor. There is a lovely little restaurant across from the parking garage ( where Greg Allman proposed to Cher) . Amazing selection of liquor and great food.
The hotel is only 2 miles from the Allman Brothers Museum. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel also has its own bar in house.
I would definitely visit again
We enjoyed our stay in a well-appointed and clean room. The room was decorated beautifully and contained many thoughtful amenities. Our only problem was that we were given the wrong entry code and stood outside for several minutes trying to enter. A quick call resolved the issue. However, having no lobby or staff on site is a little undesirable. It would improve the experience to have guest services available and seem more hospitable. All in all, we would return to stay in the future.
Easy access and great location!

A
Perfect spot in Macon!
My room backs up to the alley. It’s slightly noisy with the bar attached.
Parking was a challenge, received bad unloading parking advice from Kat that created a traffic jam in the alleyway that did not allow other cars to pass making me move my car twice while unloading. Who needs that kind of pressor?
Another guest was also challenged with the same situation as I when "checking in."
As others have stated the parking garage is tight so good luck with larger vehicles.
Used the drink card at the Quill but it was only for 50% off on ONE drink. So, for my wife and I the "coupon" seemed like a bait and switch to be charged whole price for one of the drinks. Buyer beware!
Good luck watching TV, they wanted Apple TV for the streaming service. Tried several times to log in to my Direct TV account without success. Would have been nice to have a HDMI plug so that I could have at least used my laptop to watch TV.
Would also be nice for a map of the areas point of interest and eateries.
All in all, good central location, but on our next visit I would drive in a bit from a local outside the area big box hotel for greater amenities and service, that are only a few miles away and park in Macon proper.
Comfortable and charming. Parking offsite but easy walk. Convenient to restaurants. Upstairs bar was a pleasant bonus.
Bed was the best we have ever had. Great pillows. Modern take on a very old city. Keyless check in. The Staff "Kat"hotel manager and Abby the bartender were delightful. So many windows to see everyone and everything! Curtains fully blocked the lights out and any sound. Smelled great in the room with a sound machine next to the bed. Ac was a unit up near the real tin 12 ft ceilings. Worth the trouble of parking. (We have a really big truck) Smart tv. The Quill bar had delicious drinks!! Cozy comfy setting. Everyone was very personable. Informative about the city and shared recommendations on food and attractions. Very happy and well rested!
I like the contactless process. It’s so easy. This hotel is surrounded by good restaurants and within walking distance to the Opera House which I enjoy. I travel solo and it’s perfect for me.
