Close to NEC but not a busy road
Staff was friendly and answered all questions
Rooms are very small (one even had the sink outside the bathroom)
Not very clean and the bed was uncomfortable (only supplied one pillow each side of the bed)

We were looking for cheap accommodation near the NEC and Royal Square was exactly that. Staff were friendly, the rooms were simple (if a bit dated) but perfectly fine after long days walking around the NEC. Would happily stay here again for future visits to the NEC.
Very small double room. Neglected garden area with laundry piling up outside.
Das Beste war die absolute Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals. Es hat den Aufenthalt definitiv versüßt. Das Haus selbst ist alt. Die Zimmer sind klein, verwinkelt, sauber und bestmöglich für die Gäste vorbereitet. Die Verbindung zum NEC ist am einfachsten mit dem Taxi, aber auch mit dem Bus möglich (etwas kompliziert). Für einen kurzen, kostengünstigen Aufenthalt ist die Unterkunft passabel, aber nicht unbedingt sehr komfortabel. Abends zum Entspannen mit Cider im Garten zu sitzen lässt den Tag angenehm ausklingen.
Die Heißwassersituation in den Duschen ist etwas schwierig; meistens klappt es. Für anspruchsvolle Besucher ist das Haus meiner Meinung nach nicht geeignet. Das Hotel befindet sich in einer Wohngegend. Es gibt keinen Supermarkt oder ein Restaurant in unmittelbarer Nähe.
The staff were very courteous, friendly and patient. I am an autistic adult and this was only my third time staying at a hotel alone, so I appreciated this.
The room, while on the smaller side, was comfortable, clean and well furnished. While I did not partake in the hot drinks provided, I appreciated their inclusion.
Wi-fi access and television were included free of charge, with a decent selection of channels and decent network speeds respectively.
The hotel is very close to the NEC but is in a pretty quiet area, which as somebody who lives in the countryside was appreciated. However the road layout in the surrounding area has changed a lot so please use up-to-date maps to navigate here.
My room was unfortunately very warm due to the weather and as I could only open two small windows it did not cool down until much later in the night, so I had to use a personal folding fan to keep cool. A fan should have been provided or at least able to be requested.
I paid for the continental breakfast, but wasn't that impressed by the offerings. For food they had laid out two loaves of bread for toasting alongside butter and jams, basic plain cereals, premade croissants and cupcakes, and a very small selection of fruits. For drinks, tea and coffee were provided alongside two kinds of juice. While I did enjoy my breakfast it was not worth what I paid - For the price the offerings should have been more diverse with more fresh items.
Location was great, very close to the airport which was the main purpose of our stay!
Slightly overpriced bar but friendly staff, family run hotel
The lady at the reception was really friendly and the hotel was clean. I did not sleep overnight as I used the hotel only for a few hours but the single room had everything needed including an en suite.
