The architecture was really astounding. The place looks like a temple. I seems to have been designed and built in the 1930's or earlier. Lots of stairs. You must go up to go down a bit later. Long walk to the room. Spacious room. Everything worked.
I guess the 2 stars were a gift from someone as this is a 1 star hotel at best
Check was terrible with rude staff cash security deposit of 3000 thb was demanded with no offer of credit card or transfer from Thai bank Maybe they can catch soon to the digital age soon No doubt the hotel is 20 plus years behind not only digitally but also for the overall condition it’s in dire needs of revocation and professional staff at checkin
Look else where in Krabi if you would prefer to enjoy your stay
Hyggelige ansatte og stort fint rom
Rummet var rätt slitet
MW Krabi Beach Resort is a prime example of wasted potential. The architecture and historical elements of this property are undeniably magnificent—filled with unique design choices that could make it an iconic destination. However, any initial admiration is quickly overshadowed by the sheer neglect and lack of upkeep. Instead of feeling like a charming heritage resort, it feels like a relic of what could have been.
The property is in a state of disrepair, with outdated facilities that make it feel archaic rather than classic. Basic modern conveniences are either missing or malfunctioning, and the overall maintenance is so poor that it borders on being dilapidated. This lack of preservation not only diminishes the beauty of the hotel but also makes for an uncomfortable stay.
Worst of all, the service is shockingly subpar. Hospitality is virtually nonexistent, with staff who seem indifferent or untrained. Even budget accommodations manage to provide better service than what you’ll find here. There’s no warmth, no effort to make guests feel welcome—just a disappointing lack of care all around.
This place could be a standout hotel, but instead, it’s a glaring example of neglect. Until major improvements are made, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Auf französisch!!!!!
My trans partner and I were looking forward to staying here while I was visiting, before our onward journey.
The hotel seemed nice from the outside and from the photographs.
But once you step inside you soon realise that this is a very old and expired property. There seems to be 3 different hotels in the same complex.
We had a major problem with the hotel staff and their policies.
My partner and I checked in together. The next day my partner had to work, I picked her up from work and we returned to the hotel at about 2am. We walked through reception where the security guard had to wake up the hotel staff.
The staff on duty then interrogated my partner in Thai. Accusing her of being a escort and tried to ask for money. Not once did the member of staff ask me if we were together.
This incident left both my partner and myself shocked. Not only was is transphobic and a little racist as, if I had turned up with a western/white partner, I'm certain no questions would be asked.
The rooms were large and nice to relax in but are showing signs of wear and tear. The amenities are very basic.
House keeping were amazing and did a great job.
The swimming pool was great.
May I suggest that the hotel management provide better training to their staff members on how to treat hotel guests and how to find out the relevant information.
The staff on duty should have spoken to me in English.
I will not be returning after such an experience.
The toilet is pretty clean & located within walking distance from beach & nightmarket. Those are the only positive things i can think of. Check-in starts at 2PM. We arrived at 3PM but the room wasn’t ready & had to wait for another 30 mins. Room is quite old & decent size. Fridge is not working. Broken electric kettle cap. Broken drawer. Water pressure not stable. Floor is creaking. Unable to connect to hotel wifi. There’s one remote in the room but not working for tv & ceiling fan, not sure how to adjust ceiling fan speed either. Room is far from reception & with multiple stairs, best to avoid carrying many luggages & loose items as they don’t have bellboy to help carry the stuffs. The hotel is due for major renovation/ makeover
Facaden snyder virkelig.
Jeden Abend lautes Konzert.
Very good, well run hotel. The staff were helpful and attentive. The aircon and WiFi worked well. My room was impeccably clean and well kept. Easy access to beachfront, shops and restaurants. All in all an excellent choice for a quiet, pleasant stay. Many Thanks.
Arrived their could only pay in cash got to our room it smelt musty it was really out dated the sheets were dirty no handle on the toilet & mould all over shower curtain. So we demanded are money back we didn’t intend to stay they refused told us to take it up with booking dot com . Horrible place and horrible owners I would definitely stay away from here .
We stayed for 4 nights and booked again for 5 nights since we love the hotel specially the staffs. The owner and the owner's relatives are the one who are running and assisting from the reception. They are very nice and helpful, the service is exceptional that we started wondering if they are the owners and we were correct :)
The hotel has is divided by two Ayodhaya palace and MW krabi beach resort. MW came first then after around 5 yrs, they built Ayodhaya palace hotel. The design took a lot of yrs as it is hand made and look like a real palace! You will really feel the ambiance of living Thailand. There are swimming pools for both adult and children. This hotel is very family friendly. We gon intrigued therefore, we asked the hotel owner's daughter if we can interview them to know the story behind this beautiful hotel.

It was good. the staff was great and the rooms nice
I had pretty low expectations when I booked this place but it was only for one night so I thought it will at least be decent.
But, this place was in a terrible state. It was like something from an armageddon movie. I’ve never been in a dirtier room. It smelled so bad from the mold. I couldn’t even stay there for one night. But all hotels were fully booked so I managed to get another room that at least was a bit cleaner. But the bed was hard as a brick and the pillow all bumpy. I woke up by a burnt smell coming in from the ventilation.
It was a horrible experience and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Not even for one night.
En fantastisk byggnad som sett sina bästa dagar.rummet stort och fint. Sängen under all kritik. Poolområdet fantastiskt, men även det har sett sina bästa dagar. Dålig frukost med sur värdinna, trasigt porslin. Dåligt wifi
Veraltetes Hotel. Nicht zu empfehlen.
Schmutzige Handtücher.
Frische Handtücher bestellt, aber nicht bekommen.
We stayed for 3 nights at MW Krabi Beach Resort which also goes by the name Ayodhaya Palace Krabi Beach Resort. The building is ltself is large with nice traditional architecture and has large rooms. However it is extremely dirty with dirty rooms and garbage in the corridors. There is a general feeling of shabbiness. Bedside lights did not work, room telephone did not work, reception toilet out of order for 3 days and even the lifts did not work so we had to go up 3 floors with luggages using stairs! These were not temporary faults but they were permanently out of order. Moreover, the room is not even serviced, they just leave water and 1 toilet paper in a bag outside the room. After 2 days we had to ask for fresh towels and after having to go and pick them up ourselves they gave us disgusting towels with dark marks all over! Worst hotel we have been in!
Very firm beds, aircon not cold, next to no communication with staff upon arrival.
You get what you pay for. Next to the night market. Rooms are dirty. Toilet didn’t flush. I wouldn’t stay again but it was cheapest place we could get for the area. Rooms are very old and floors creaky. Pool is dirty. Air-con was so loud and old. Was ok.
