This hotel was clean and was also within walking distance to food options and street food in Chinatown. It is quiet and has good security at the hotel. I would recommend staying here.
Owner and staffs was so friendly and helpful. Owner make you feel like home. A
清潔感があって部屋も広かっためす!
Pues el trato que me dieron en recepcion y me gusto mucho la localizacion donde esta el hotel y las habitaciones son muy ampleas y tiene todo lo necesario
The staff were very friendly, warm and accommodating. The owner provided very helpful information and went out of her way to help me find specific items I was looking for. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing stay at Old Thai Heng Hotel. First of all, we got there past midnight after landing in Thailand and we had written to the hotel at the very last minute before our standby flight to make sure they were aware that we were going to arrive late and we received an almost instant response which we really appreciated. It made us feel more secure. Then, when we arrived, our room had a very strong cigarette smell unfortunately so we went back to the front desk right away to ask for another room and the lady at the front desk was kind enough to upgrade us into a better room for the inconvenients and it was truly amazing. The best room we’ve had so far in our entire trip to Thailand (which has been over 1 week now in many different hotels). The bed was really comfortable and the shower SUPER spacious and clean. This was by far our cleanest bathroom in Thailand. The only downside is that our room was facing a quite busy street and we could hear the buzzing street in the early morning hours, but we sleep with earplugs so it wasn’t that much of an issue. The best part was the location in Chinatown near the amazing night markets. I wish we spent more time there to explore all the tasty restaurants around. I recommend and would definitely come back.
We had some issues with our passports which delayed us for two days. The staff saved our room and even accomodated us with a place to leave our things/luggage after check out because the room was not available for another night. We were terrible guests; we forgot to tip for cleaning and forgot some items in the fridge, and they were still absolutely lovely to us. Thank you for accomodating us!
A hidden gem in Yaowarat and walking distance to MRT Wat Mangkon station.
Don't have to worry about breakfast, pop out to Yaowarat road, and you have your choices. The goes for the lunch or dinner outlets.
There is a security deposit of THB500.00 to be paid upon check-in and will be returned upon check-out if there are no damages. Use cash instead of card as the amount would be credited into your card 2 weeks later.
The only things that was not right would be the in-room safe box was not bolted down permanently.
The corridor to the rooms is a hot air tunnel with poor air exchange thus Apr - Jun is not advisable to stay here.
you can get comfortable sleep and housekeeping is good
Room is very spacious. Great location
It’s very convenient, eateries & chinatown were within walking distance. The noise of people showering from upper level, running taps & flushing of toilets were loud & clear, especially during middle of the night it’s not suitable for light sleeper. My children’s room was ok.
Stayed here for two nights and found the room dark and dingy and not very clean, hairs in the shower and stains on the pillow. Noisy at night in the corridors. The breakfast was quite sad and beige no fruit no salads no bread or pastries just meat and boiled rice and eggs, not even Thai fried rice which was strange. The staff were not friendly to us I don’t know if they treat everyone the same way or whether they have some bias towards certain customers.
Checkout was like being in a Tv comedy, a disaster the one member of staff snatched our key then disappeared leaving reception unstaffed so we could not checkout. We waited in reception with the taxi driver, when she eventually returned about 15 minutes later she said she was ‘trying to clean the room’ was very hostile and unfriendly and nearly made us late for our flight again quite bizarre and strange. She then tried to double charge us for the taxi ‘ forgetting’ about the key deposit and becomes grumpy when I reminded her, a bit suspect.
We were a bit stunned by the behaviour towards us and it felt as though it might have been a prank.
I think this hotel is overpriced for what it is, it feels low budget and a bit seedy, better to stay in a nice hostel/hotel with better customer service and better price. Tried to raise these issues with management before reviewing but just received a standard reply and a focus on money rather than even being able to consider our experience, confirming to me their lack of skills in customer care. The location is great and there are so many places to stay nearby so I would not recommend staying here.
The hotel is in a nice area, otherwise I would not recommend it. The room we had was dark and dingy, and not very clean when we arrived. The staff were mainly disinterested in us and on checkout nearly made us late for the airport. The breakfast consisted of meat, rice and cereal, no fruits or bread. I think they overcharge for what they are, would have been better to stay in a local hostel better facilities and cheaper.
The hotel staffs is friendly and approachable. We booked the family room. Though there is lift, to reach our room we still need to walk down stairs with luggages. Slight inconvenient for us. Walkable distance to Chinatown and station.
Was unable to slp well that night. It was quite late and I can hear furniture shifting drag around on top us and also can hear the noise coming from beside room. Not really sound proof.
Probably we are not that lucky that day.
Stayed a night with my husband & daughter. The room has a king bed & a single bed. We liked that the room was big, clean & quiet. Walking distance to the busy Chinatown night market but peaceful at night. Very friendly & efficient counter staff. Highly recommend this place.
In downtown but expensive because did not have swimming pool or breakfast include
This is a lovely hotel in Chinatown, you are greeted by the most delightful staff who couldn’t be more helpful.
Room very nice, bed so comfy, slept for 12 hours after arrival 😀.
Bangkok is not really a city for walking to tourist sites, taxi or tuktuk required,so I feel having a nice hotel is more important than location. The restaurant in the hotel is good, pork pad kapow and the pork belly amazing!! And have a peach tea cocktail, out of this world!
When we come back to visit our daughter again we will definitely stay here.
Finally there are 2 Michelin recommended eating places within 5 mins walk, and a 7eleven,round the corner for essentials.
We had a great stay here, thank you !
average hotel. Location is good, near the Chinatown. Again for some reason I got windowless room from Booking.com, it was not expected and I hate such rooms. Staff was very friendly, we asked them how to get to another airport Don Mueang to fly to Cambodia and they quickly found cheap private driver for us.
