Hotel Alajuela

This place is pathetic and against any standards of HOTEL.

This should be delisted, surprise that HOTEL.COM supports these type of Facilities with out validation.

One and only fresh thing is WINDOW Curtains.

Every linens had stains. Unfortunately we have to spend 6 hours overnight until early morning flight departure.


Entire building and room is bad smell and Stains. Mat was drying in shower hanging

The room is very noisy, you can hear people in other rooms and noise from the road

Upon arrival there is nowhere good to stop to be dropped off by an uber. During the daytime it was not bad to walk around outside, come night time i would not reccommend leaving the hotel. Our room was not clean, the bathroom had hair all over the ground in the corners. The room we had was directly adjacent to a busy street where cars drove over a metallic grate that rattled your brain every time a car drove over it. There was also a one inch gap between the window and the casing around the window allowing all the sounds odors and bugs from the street to enter the room. The staff was nice enough. But after spending a couple of hours in the room we actually decided we dont want to spend the night there and found a better accomodation. If you were a cochroach from a crack den i would reccommend this hotel. Otherwise i would do everything in my power to stay clear. We were a little upset because from what i found online it was mostly 3 star reviews. We thought it would be good enough for a short stay before flying out in the early morning. For that reason im being very detailed in my review to hopefully save someone the headache my girlfriend and i had while traveling.

It was ok
But my room was on the street view and there was a water sewer loose on the corner and every single car make a lot of noise when drive on top of it. Very loud. Can’t let us rest well

No es como se ve en la foto , las camas dan asco , los colchones viejos y sucios , olor desagradable en la habitación , y el baño ni se diga

The hotel was absolutely fabulous. The staff was outstanding. And the location was perfect. I certainly recommend this hotel.

It's a nice hotel with a very affordable price, not for demanding clients, still clean, super comfy located and the stuff service is very friendly.

La habitación no era de lo mejor, el clóset se caía a pedazos y la ventana parte de los vidrios no estaban, el ruido que entraba por la noche no dejó dormir. El gallo pinto fue lo mejor

Hotel muy cómodo por la ubicación

I really like it because it was clean, had all I need i was well help when I need it the hotel is in a good spot to goo buy stuff the receptionist was educated.i had everything I really felt fantastic I recommend it to everyone!!

Absolutely friendly atmosphere, nice stay, though the room is noisy, because there is a park outside, if you need to sleep well and sensitive to noise, it won't be your option. However, the room is spacious and clean. And you are 1 minute walk from the center.
the stuff is super friendly and breakfast is delicious.

A comfortable hotel, a good location

The room was dirty and didn’t feel clean, and it had mould in it

It's the example of "you get what you pay for"

It's a very old building and it looks dirty even if it's not. We don't received housekeeping service until the 5th day.

The staff were excellent!!
