Upon arrival my rooms smelled like sewage, i called front desk , i was upgraded to a suite which after a day had the same issue .. I stayed on property for 4 days and 3 out of the four days of my stay i had no water from 4am-12pm which ruined my days and plans because i could not take a shower!!! I made numerous reports to the front desk and requested to speak to the manager who never called or came to see how he or she can assit .. Oh and to top it off there is a big security issue just for the sake of this property i will not disclose but once again this was reported to the front desk

Disappointing stay - No (hot) water or WiFi
Pros:

The food at the restaurant was quite tasty and of good quality if you have the patience to wait for it.

The staff were quite welcoming and helpful on the first night.

Cons:

Our experience at this property was far from what we expected. On the day of check-in, we encountered an issue with the air conditioning unit, which meant we had to change rooms. Unfortunately, the new room was not guest ready. We had to physically move the refrigerator from our original room into our new room ourselves, and request for someone to come and clean the bathroom

To make matters worse, by the end of our stay the air conditioning unit in the second room began leaking water onto one of the beds. By this point, we were exhausted from repeatedly contacting reception, so we gave up reporting further issues.

A major concern was the lack of hot running water. We couldn’t shower or even flush the toilet properly on some occasions. Despite reporting this issue to reception multiple times, we were dismissed on at least two occasions. It wasn’t until the day before our checkout that an engineer was finally sent. He spent a significant amount of time replacing pipes and addressing the water issue, confirming that our complaints were valid and not minor.

Additionally, although free WiFi was advertised, we never had access to it during our stay. Each time we raised the issue, we were told to “wait until tomorrow” for an engineer who never resolved it. In the end, we had to purchase a local phone plan just to stay connected.

Overall, this stay was extremely frustrating. Basic amenities were either unavailable or poorly maintained, and staff responses to legitimate concerns were dismissive at best. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made.

Staff Trying, But Management Is Failing
Pros:

I stayed at the Ramada in St. Kitts for what was supposed to be a two-night stay during the Music Festival. It turned out to be a frustrating experience from start to finish. I’m giving this hotel one star—only because the staff were trying. The issues here are clearly bigger than them and seem tied to poor management or ownership.

I checked in late at night. The staff at the desk were polite but overwhelmed, which I expected given the busy weekend. I got to my room and went to take a shower, only to realize the shower head was cracked and spraying water sideways onto the wall. I didn’t complain—just used the handheld attachment and made do.

Around 4 a.m., I got up to use the bathroom and the toilet wouldn’t flush. By 6 a.m., it was still down. I also noticed the room had no iron. I called the front desk a few times—no answer. When I checked the shower again, there was no running water at all. No warning, no note, no communication.

I walked down to the front desk area and found it empty. Computers were covered in plastic. A security guard told me no one comes in until 8 a.m.—which is ridiculous for a hotel of this size. I asked him to call the manager, and the manager told him there was a water issue on the island and water would be turned on “shortly.” Whether that was true or not, guests should’ve been told.

I had no way to bathe or iron my clothes for work. I ended up using the two small bottles of complimentary water to rinse off and went to work in wrinkled clothes.

After that, I started calling around to find another hotel and was lucky enough to get a room at the Marriott—my original choice, which had been fully booked. I asked my partner to pack our bags and head to the front desk to request a refund for the two nights I booked. They refused to refund both nights and only agreed to one, citing “company policy.”

This place is a mess, and unfortunately, it’s not the staff’s fault. They were polite and professional under pressure. But basic things—like working plumbing, running water, a 24-hour front desk, and honest communication—are completely lacking. I won’t stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Just book the Marriott. You won’t be disappointed

Pros:

The property was beautiful for eyesight but the facility needs to closed. There was no one there but myself and one other person. The staff was not empathetic. They didn’t care that the WiFi was terrible and the bar wasn’t open. There was no phone in the rooms. That was terrible. You want your guest to contact you through an App.

Nice hotel but a distance from Basseterre.
Pros:

This hotel is an amazingly unused resource. We understand it’s only got a small beach but we needed somewhere to stay on the island and it was perfect for us albeit a little far from Basseterre town Centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful and we couldn’t fault their attitude. The room was huge even though we only wanted a room we ended up with a suite and it was spacious with a really comfortable bed and air-conditioning in all rooms. We had a hire car which was essential.

Fantastic Experience!

Pros:

The staff was so pleasant and kind. 5 stars for the staff. The breakfast was nice as well and the kitchen was so accommodating with my sons breakfast when we told them he only eat chocolate pancakes.

Cons:

I noticed some stains under the baseboard in the bathroom that I believed to be mold. Also, there was an awful smell in the room and it was more noticeable every time you exited the room for a while and returned.

Pros:

We really enjoyed staying at the hotel, some of the facilities we were not able to use but we understand it was low season. The staff were brilliant especially Kimberly on reception, nothing was too much trouble for her to sort out. We would recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again in the future.
