The location was ideal for catching our early morning train, the staff were welcoming and helpful and the beds were comfortable.

There were issues with the room: the plug in the sink was jammed down, there was black mould in the shower, and the wardrobe doors were broken.

Cons:

No lift. Room is not soundproof as I can hear my neighbours speaking at night. The duvet was a bit too thick and warm, which caused me to wake up feeling hot during the night.

Die Lage war gut gelegen neben der Kings Cross Station

Cons:

Das Zimmer befand sich im Untergeschoss und hatte keine Fenster. Es roch stark nach Schimmel und es war sehr feucht im Zimmer. Das Zimmer hatte kein Fenster und keine ausreichende natürliche Belüftung. Von dem Moment an, als wir es betraten, machte es einen äußerst vernachlässigten und unhygienischen Eindruck. Alle Bereiche waren sichtlich mit einer erheblichen Menge Staub bedeckt. Das gravierendste Problem war jedoch der extrem starke Geruch von Feuchtigkeit und Schimmel, der aus dem Keller kam. Der Geruch war so intensiv, dass es kaum möglich war, sich längere Zeit in dem Raum aufzuhalten. Die Luft fühlte sich stickig und drückend an, und schon nach kurzer Zeit hatten wir das Gefühl, dass es aufgrund der Intensität des Geruchs schwierig war, normal zu atmen.
Außerdem hatten wir angesichts der offensichtlichen Anzeichen von erheblicher Feuchtigkeit Grund zu der Vermutung, dass sich möglicherweise Schimmelpilze gebildet hatten. Unter diesen Umständen war es für uns unverständlich, wie dieses Zimmer überhaupt als reguläres Gästezimmer zur Übernachtung angeboten und vergeben werden konnte.
Wir haben den Zustand des Zimmers sofort mit Fotos dokumentiert und können diese Bilder auf Anfrage jederzeit zur Verfügung stellen. Die Fotos dokumentieren insbesondere den Zustand des Zimmers und die Umstände, die wir vorgefunden haben.
Nach dem Einchecken haben wir zunächst versucht, die Situation direkt im Hotel zu klären. Ein Mitarbeiter der Rezeption teilte uns jedoch mit, dass kein anderes Zimmer zur Verfügung gestellt werden könne und dass ein alternatives Zimmer frühestens am nächsten Tag zur Verfügung stehen würde.
Da die Bedingungen, die wir vorfanden, für uns inakzeptabel waren und eine Übernachtung in diesem Zimmer einfach nicht in Frage kam, sahen wir uns gezwungen, das Hotel etwa 20 Minuten nach dem Einchecken zu verlassen. Wir sind also nicht in dem gebuchten Zimmer geblieben und haben auch keine Übernachtungsleistungen in Anspruch genommen.

Would not stay at this property again.
Pros:

Location, staff very friendly, hot shower.

Cons:

Unfortunately we got a room that was exteremely damp. You could see it on the ceiling/walls. The room smelt heavily of damp and the bedding felt damp too. The window also had a very large unsafe crack in it. It was quite an unpleasant night.

Dissapointing stay
Pros:

The location was good , the room was clean

Cons:

The floor was heavily worn and water damaged , the bathroom door was damaged , the booking said king size bed but it was a double , the booking said ac but we had a broken repaired fan , the bathroom and room was a lot smaller than advertised, we struggled to control the water temperature in the shower. Dissapointing and fairly expensive, it felt missrepresented , we thought we were getting good quality for the price , it felt the opposite.

A single room here is okay for an overnight stay only
Pros:

The location is good for King's Cross Station and the room was clean. The complimentary apple left in the room was a nice touch.

Cons:

The room was tiny, I could barely fit into the bathroom and I couldn't close the window to block out noise from outside. As I had to catch an early morning Eurostar train, the hotel met my requirements for an overnight stay, however I would not recommend a single room here for a longer stay than that as it was too small
