We have been coming to Cervinia for skiing holidays for the fifth time, but this year was our first stay at the Valtur Hotel and it was by far the best experience we’ve had so far.

One of the absolute highlights for us was Restaurant Gou, where we chose to dine every evening. The service was outstanding from start to finish: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm. The staff made us feel incredibly welcome and truly took care of us throughout our stay.

The cuisine was exceptional, featuring delicious dishes from the Aosta Valley prepared with refined, high-quality ingredients. Every meal felt thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic as well stylish, lively, and perfectly complemented by the DJ’s music in the background.

All in all, we felt thoroughly spoiled during our stay. The combination of excellent food, remarkable service, and the wonderful ambiance made this visit unforgettable.

We will most certainly be coming back!

One of the best Hotels on a ski resort ever. The staff were friendly. Efficient. Choice of food for the duration was excellent. The Spa was one of the best. I had a massage with Laura, do find her, one of the best massages ever. The view of the Matterhorn took our breath away.

From the moment we arrived, the welcome has been warm, genuine and professional. Naomi and the bar staff are absolutely fantastic always smiling, attentive and nothing is ever too much trouble. Welcoming people with kindness costs nothing, but it makes such a difference to the whole experience, and this team truly go above and beyond.

Every single member of staff we’ve encountered has been friendly and helpful. Even the drivers transporting guests to the ski lifts are amazing, punctual, organised and always cheerful.

The service here really elevates the whole holiday. It’s those small interactions, the smiles, the extra effort, that make you feel valued as a guest.

I had a great massage after a hard few days skiing at Miele Spa in the hotel. Felt so much better for it. If you are feeling the after effects of some good skiing, this is just the thing. I had a great experience.

Magnificent Resort

Valtur exceeded our expectations. The staff and food the entertainment th ski hire and the cocktails. We will be back very soon. A very special call out to Francesca and the girls in Valturland. They made our holiday very special. We travelled with 8 children and th girls in Valturland were amazing. We have been to well known kindergarten hotels in Austria and the kids club was very disappointing for th kids. Thank you Francesca without you myself and my partner wouldn’t have been able to ski. Love to you all

This is a 3 star hotel for sure,
Hotel far too busy and far too hot (everywhere ) It is unhealthily hot !
Music blasts out pretty much all the time throughout the huge complex.
Food very mediocre for half board - very !
The pool is absolutely heaving with kids and it wasn't even half term . To buy a 35 Euro pass for the separate adults pool is a scam ( for one hour of use !) Not very warm and the sauna not very hot - all in all a total rip-off.
It was better as a Club Med by the sounds of it and I would avoid now at all costs!
Everything noisy and no calm - from the walls being thin / doors not soft close and even loo seats slamming at night !
Some staff are so very lovely and helpful but all look like they have lost the will to live quite frankly !

We normally stay at the Buccaneve and that is where we shall return to and book earlier in future.

Great week at Cristallo, right mix of quality food, drinks, spa and entertainment. The kids club here is awesome - the team was great with our children, and allowed us to ski with peace of mind in the afternoons. They loved going there every day.

It's 4 stars because still a few things to iron out in terms of front desk coordination and buses to the slopes - but we will be back again soon.

Bit of a let down. I wouldn’t go back.

Lovely looking hotel, great amenities and really nice greeting. Having the ski rental in house was super useful.
However there were issues. The room cleaning was shoddy and things were left dirty. A false fire alarm went off at 6:30am, then again at 9:30am during breakfast. The cocktails were overpriced at €18 a pop. The service was slow across nearly all fronts of the hotel.

We were lucky enough to spend New Year here and it couldn’t have been a better way to see in the year.

From the moment we arrived there was a real sense of occasion. The hotel had that perfect festive atmosphere which was beautifully decorated, lively without being chaotic, and just the right balance of celebration and comfort. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, even with it being one of the busiest times of the year.

We were staying in the Matterhorn Suite and our room was immaculate and felt like a proper retreat from the excitement downstairs. Spotlessly clean, warm, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was comfortable which we were especially grateful for in the mornings! Little details like good lighting, a powerful shower and quality toiletries didn’t go unnoticed. The view was also incredible with 2 separate terraces. There was also a Sauna within the room which was welcomed after a long day of skiing.

The skiing setup was superb. The hotel has a really well equipped boot room which is organised and properly thought through, not just an afterthought space. Being able to access the slopes directly from the hotel made mornings effortless, and for days when we wanted a slightly different start point, the shuttle bus was constantly running and convenient. It genuinely took all the stress out of ski logistics.

Coming back in each afternoon was a highlight in itself. The complimentary après ski nibbles laid out around the fireplace created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Boots off, drink in hand, fire crackling felt like exactly how a ski day should end.

The New Year’s Eve celebrations themselves were fantastic. Everything felt well organised and thoughtfully done. The food was excellent. We dined in the Gou restaurant and it was all beautifully presented and genuinely delicious. The service throughout the evening was attentive without ever feeling rushed. As midnight approached, the atmosphere built perfectly. It felt celebratory and special, with the live music and entertainment being one of the best I have experienced.

Breakfast on New Year’s Day was equally impressive. Despite the late night, the team were cheerful and nothing felt like an afterthought.

What really stood out was the staff. Every single person we encountered seemed genuinely proud to be part of the stay. It made all the difference. A huge thank you to Federica, who made everything so easy and communicated with us every day to make sure we were happy.

We left feeling relaxed, well looked after and already saying we’d love to come back for another New Year. A brilliant way to start the year and we will be back!

I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Valtur in Cervinia. After many years of skiing in the French Alps, the warm hospitality of Italy was a refreshing change for me.

The hotel was spotless. The modern-style rooms felt exceptional because of their size and the superbly comfortable beds. The bathrooms were also high quality. The first-class facilities, including the great pool area and gym, made my stay enjoyable. As a skier, I found it easy to take full advantage of my holiday. The shuttle bus service to the Gondola was timely and ran frequently, making it a convenient place to stay.

The food experience was another highlight of our holiday. The restaurants offered a great variety. Gou's à la Carte menu was fantastic, the food at the Pizzeria was top-notch, and the buffet at Gargantua was well-prepared and beautifully presented. They made an effort to cater to guests with specific dietary needs, offering a good range of gluten-free options.

I want to give a special mention to Federica. She was outstanding and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed. Her thoughtfulness and dedication added to our enjoyment and made our stay memorable.
