Facilities and restaurants were excellent, as was the entertainment
Parking fees and bar costs were excessive
High quality
Tout … une belle ambiance
Rien
Well appointed. Useful to have ski hire on site
Charges for shuttle bus to town. 10 euros PER PERSON for one way trip in the evening. The drive is under 3 minutes but the walk is a climb.
Comfy rooms, good bar area, excellent boot room and decent food.
Excellent bus service to get you to and form the slopes which ran all day as it is to far to walk in ski boots.
Downside to the hotel -
1) Spa Prices are a rip off - double what I would find acceptable in such a standard of hotel.
2) NO house wine OR basic water is include in the half board - I find it incredible we had to buy bottles of water in the evening and they wouldn't supply us with tap water.
3) They have lots of waiters and bar staff but they were not particularly attentive, they were happy to stand together and chat rather than walk the bar or restaurant area to be pro-actively looking for servicing the guests.
Struttura nuova, da poco ristrutturata con ski room interna e servizio navetta gratuito fino alle 19
Servizi non eccellenti considerato che si tratta di una struttura a 5 stelle
Struttura ristrutturata, camere ben arredate
Letto scomodo, camera rifatta molto superficialmente, la ristorazione lascia molto a desiderare. A parte la gaming room nessuna attività per teens.
Breakfast quality and variety was very good. Location for access to slopes and ski in was great (although magic tapis for ski out wasn't working every day). Ski rental staff were excellent, great quality equipment. Spa facilities were very good (see other comment re access times). Hotel was modern and clean and rooms, whilst not large had all the facilities needed. Beds were very comfortable. Overall staff were pretty good.
Check-in was unfortunately very slow (45mins+), even though we were the only group (8 people) who were checking in at that time.
Spa facilities were limited to one hour (strictly enforced) and we didn't get to book in on a couple of other days, despite trying to get a slot as soon as spa opened. We were told in writing when I wrote to hotel that it was "a deliberate business choice" to allow non-residents to use the spa. If this means residents cannot get to use the facilities then I would have hoped this policy was made clear on the website. Apparently, the pool is not limited to one hour but all other facilities are.
The hotel also charged €10 per person to use the shuttle minibus after 7pm to take people on the journey down to or up from the village centre. This, despite the fact the hotel is on a dark road and is 10+mins walk uphill from the centre. Our party would have been charged €80 each way! Again, when we questioned this we were told this is "not the result of an unforeseen inconvenience, but part of the hotel's current service model". Not sure how this is of service to customers who are paying €450+ per room per night. Other hotels run free services til 11pm
Within our group we have stayed in Cervinia hotels more than 12 times. For the price we paid it was disappointing vfm compared to others.
Beautiful hotel. Great location and friendly staff.
Wonderful pool and nice staff facilities.
Rather uncomfortable beds and horrible pillows.
Overpriced restaurant for buffet at 60 Eur per person.
- Great facilities - the in-hotel ski hire room, the ski in/out, the spa, the games room ... all really great.
- Afternoon tea laid on was lovely to come back to (even though we were B&B not half or full board).
- The staff were very friendly and lovely, keen to help you.
- Bedrooms were large (we had a family room that had a double room, a bathroom and a separate twin).
- The whole property was very clean, given how any people go through it this must be a tough job!
- As a ski hotel for much of the year, there was an astonishing lack of awareness about the mountain or the skiing by the hotel staff, a training issue rather than their fault. They did not know what was open, how to ski to the hotel, what to suggest when certain lifts were closed (it was very windy when we were there) - actually the hotel is in a brilliant position for multiple options but we had to figure it out ourselves).
- Most ski hotels have a screen in reception that tells you the weather report for the next day, and shows a piste map with what is open, there is nothing like this at this hotel.
- Staff training in the restaurants was an issue - breakfast staff were great, but the sushi and pizza restaurant service was appalling. Wonderful food but sadly let down by the staff just not knowing what they were doing.
Nothing
The service is just not good
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Valtur Cervinia was extremely disappointing and far from what you would expect at this price point.
We paid around €820 per night for the room, which sets very high expectations — unfortunately, the reality did not match at all. The overall service felt disorganized and inattentive, and several issues we raised during our stay were not properly addressed despite multiple complaints (see pics)
We also heard during night lots of noises during night (midnight/one clock) coming from upstairs. My wife also registered it cause she got up cause noises
What made the experience even worse was the parking situation. We had asked day prior the check out to meet hotel manager but day of check in it seems he was not available. Personel at reception anyway indeed than excuse themself at name of hotel for NOT pleasant experience was thinking good also to also charge the planned rate for parking, with no flexibility or goodwill gesture from the hotel. This felt unreasonable and frankly unacceptable given the circumstances. It showed poor attitude and complete lack of interest for guest perspective and bad experience
100 meant nothing to me but a lot symbolically if they did. Very very bad
At this level of pricing, guests expect professionalism, responsiveness, and a certain level of care — none of which we experienced. Overall, very poor value for money and a frustrating stay.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially considering the many better options available in Cervinia. Pics for your review
We had absolutely amazing week in Cervinia, weather was so nice most of the week with sun and blue sky we lost only 1.5 days due to high winds but there is plenty activities when no skiing in town. Resort is so relaxing with staff so kind helpful and smiling. Food quality is out of this world seriously delicious and waiters so patient while we were deciding what to have , special mention to Pasquale in pizza restaurant who helped us to choose nice main courses.Room was clean quiet and generally resort facilities like pool and ski storage room were convenient. We loved skiing in Italy and in Switzerland when Zermatt link was opened which was gem 💎 for us so we had mix of skiing routes to choose from. It was unforgettable holiday for us ! Thank
Good choice of restaurants and a good bar
It’s a family holiday hotel so the facilities were overrun by kids. The gym is also very small for a hotel of that size
