The staff from the front desk to the kitchen and cleaning staff, everyone was nice and friendly. Made me feel like home.

Dissatisfied and frustrated
Pros:

The room was clean and location close to pier park.

Cons:

Customer service is awful. Checking in was a nightmare upon arrival. The receptionist gave me a room with an adjoining door to another room which is not what I booked. I requested transfer to another room for safety reasons as I was traveling alone. The next room I got, the shower was not draining. The receptionist said I would have to stay in that room and a maintenance worker would come in the morning to fix the shower drainage. I asked to be given a room with a working shower drainage as that’s what I paid for and after a 9hr drive, all I looked forward to was a nice relaxing shower and was told that my options would be to take the room that compromised my safety or the room with the drainage issue. I requested a refund so I can go to another hotel and she said she could not issue it. After calling booking.com customer support for assistance, they contacted the property and while I was waiting in the lobby she told the customer service representative that I refused to take the rooms they offered as I didn’t like them without mentioning the drainage or safety concerns. Suffice to say I had to pay extra $121 to upgrade to a room with working drainage and didn’t compromise my safety. I absolutely regret booking this property and the lack of assistance from booking.com customer support.
