Pros:

Amazing host and beautiful home. Super close to multiple bus stops for easy transportation. Next to 7-eleven and a couple restaurants and food stands to grab something on the go. Definitely felt like we got the full culture experience!

I loved experiencing a more traditional inn while staying in Japan. This location is perfect for a relaxing and quiet getaway. I had no issues with communication, and the check-in process was easy.

Good Communication, but Some Cleanliness Issues
Pros:

Communication with the host was good. This is not a hotel but a private house, and we were the only guests staying.

I needed to provide my arrival time so the owner could meet us for check-in, which worked out fine. Since I chose to pay on-site, I didn’t receive the check-in information until I met the owner. The only accepted payment method was cash.

The location is not particularly touristy, but there are convenience stores and places to eat within a 5-minute walk.

The cleanliness of the bathroom and kitchen could be improved.

Best place to stay!
Pros:

Absolutely wonderful property, exactly as advertised! The owner is very kind and gave us many recommendations on where to go in Kyoto. I hope to come back to Kyoto again and when I do I am definitely going to try to stay here again!
