Pros:

Loved the history home and our room was very comfortable. Shower was good and everything was clean. Check in process was easy. Definitely would stay again if we come back through. We had to get on thr road early so we didn't get a chance to eat breakfast.

Everything was great!

Great overnight stay.
Pros:

Nice rooms, great breakfast although a litter disturbing to see how some a the staff behaved, a little to subservient, to the boss.

Cons:

Nice rooms, although a little cold during the night, no addition covers available. Literally shivered through the night. Waking in the night to see a silhouette of a man in the window was a little freaky. There was a standee of Elvis in the window, we stayed in the Elvis room

Außergewöhnliches Übernachtungserlebnis mit noch außergewöhnlicherem Frühstück.
Pros:

Sehr ansprechendes sauberes und stilvoll eingerichtetes Zimmer mit AC und Ventilator; Bett und AC prima, Lage prima, Frühstück im Haupthaus ca. 400m weiter gelegt in einem alten Südstaatenhaus, das an ein Museum erinnert.
Beim Frühstück wurde man in verschiedenen Gängen bedient. Allein das Frühstück war eine außergewöhnliche Erfahrung.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war um 8:30 Uhr, für ein eng gestricktes Urlaubsprogramm ist das zu spät.

Pros:

L’accueil est très sympathique.

Cons:

Lorsque j’ai réservé, je pensais que le piscine était dans cette établissement. En réalité nous avons accès à la piscine de Duff Green Mansion, c’est à 1 minute en voiture, mais j’aurais préféré ne pas avoir à conduire pour aller profiter de la piscine. De même pour le petit déjeuné, il n’est pas servi dans cette maison.
Il y avait une climatimatisation/aération dans ma chambre qui était commune à l’étage - pour moi elle était trop forte et faisait trop de bruit. Je ne pouvais pas la couper, car en la coupant, je coupe aussi celle de l’autre chambre… Donc trop de climatisation dans cette maison, je trouve ça désagréable.
Le ménage avait probablement était fait très rapidement, j’ai retrouvé des emballages macdonald sous la table de chevet avec quelques frites.

Leuke kamer in gemoedelijke sfeer
Pros:

Leuk om een kamer in een huis te hebben. Ontbijt was bij een groot huis iets verderop. Gezellig met alle gasten ontbijten aan een grote tafel. Familiegevoel. Leuk dat er een wijntje werd aangeboden einde middag aan de gasten.
Dichtbij zit een super restaurant!
Je kan parkeren op eigen terrein.

Cons:

Het ligt wel iets uit het centrum. De omgeving was niet heel erg netjes. Hoop dat de buurt opgeknapt wordt.
Kamer is aan de kleine kant, badkamer is wel heel ruim.

Lovely Experience
Pros:

Amazing value for the expense. Clean, comfortable, and quiet facilities. Being able to go down the street to Duff Green for the included, fantastic three-course breakfast (place setting photo included) and the little tour of the main floor of the mansion was a nice bonus. Extremely high value for the money.

Cons:

There's no staff on the premises of Halpino, so I was a little uneasy right when I got there because I felt like I was alone. Not sure if someone else was in one of the (I-think-five) rooms already. Some other people came in later, though, and I felt better.

Een unieke ervaring in Vicksburg
Pros:

De sfeer in het oude gebouw voor advocaten is geweldig. De boeken, de namen van de kamers, aan alles is gedacht bij de inrichting.
Een geweldig extraatje is het gezamelijke ontbijt met andere gasten in Duff Mansion, zo'n 200 meter verderop in de straat. Tijdens het uitgeserveerde ontbijt met scone, scrambled eggs, pancakes en een toetje met cake ga je echt in gesprek met de anderen aan tafel. Daarna een rondleiding door de mansion met geschiedenis van het huis en Vicksburg. Een absolute aanrader.

Cons:

Er is geen koelkast in de kamer, dat zou een verbetering zijn.

Southern hospitality at its best
Pros:

The property was well located, tastefully restored and decorated. A very short walk from Duff green mansion where breakfast was served in the most beautiful dining room with table setting fit for royalty! A fascinating and informative look around the house was included after breakfast. Free parking in car park behind property.
Very good value for money.

Cons:

We stayed in the Elvis themed room which was again beautifully decorated. Huge bed with steps up to it. Lovely bathroom.
Negatives were the squeaky mattress, floors and doors.
