It’s was not worth the price

The temperature in the room was hot especially since our room faced the morning sun. Our room air conditioner only pushed hot air when it was on during the night. We had to sleep with no clothes on in order to survive the nights. We could not wait to leave the hotel because we experienced extreme heat in our room faced. In addition the hotel did not have adequate transportation for the guests

-AC lo ponen por tiempos (12 a 2, de 5 a 7 y de 9 a 5am)
-Personal pocas ganas de trabajar
-Esta en una colina cuesta arriba
-Nos cobraron 30$ transfer y llegaron 1:30h tarde, coche lleno de gasolina y nos pidieron lo mismo para pagar
-Nos cambiaron de habitacion, por no querer pagar 52$, la habitación última, no tenia puerta baño, la puerta terraza estaba rota y no cerraba.

The location, everything is old and expired.

The staff seemed a bit unapproachable. They wouldn't smile or try to start a light banter. They always had a blank stare on their faces. Not friendly at all. Also, although the hotel righted the wrong, the cleaning staff took $30 out of my room and one of the girls threw away my food after the hotel said I could store my food in the hotel fridge since the mini fridge in my room wasnt working. This made me feel very uncomfortable since I no longer wished for anyone to go into my room while I was gone. Taking a guest's money off their desk is beyond uncalled for and I dont care what the excuse was. That's called being a thief (a "volè" in kreyol). They also should have double checked that everything in the room was working like the mini fridge before I arrived. Also, I didnt appreciate that one of the drivers charged me extra to go up with me to the Citadel when that was never discussed prior. Everyone seemed to charge me extra for every little thing just because they assumed that being from America (although I am Haitian as well) means Im rich and I should pay everyone more. That made me lose complete respect for them. If I choose to pay more, thats my decision. Its not because of where I come from and what they assume my bank account looks like!

Staff such as receptionist needed more customer service training I told them specifically that I reserved ocean view rooms (2) during my reservation, however I was given two other rooms which were not equivalent to the ocean view even though they stated that they were superior rooms. I requested to be compensated but at no avail, I feel the facility uses the bait and switch method.
Secondly they claimed to have a shuttle that can pick you up at the airport yet they are very hard to reach or impossible to reach either by phone that doesn't seem to work or by email which they do not respond.
So future customer beware of the pictures posted on the website.

The room I was given

I took the budget room which was quite basic, although it did have AC and fans. Airport pick up / drop off was $30 one way or $50 return. They insist that they won’t confirm until you message them that you are on the flight and it’s taking off. I did this from Providenciales (luckily my phone was working there) but this meant that my short flight was quicker than the vehicle, so I had to wait 20 minutes outside the airport before he turned up.

L’établissement est situé sur une colline TRÈS dangereuse. Ce n’est pas du tout adapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite, et on peut seulement y accéder en moto ou avec un véhicule suffisamment puissant pour y monter. De plus, nous avons été surprises de découvrir que les chambres standards sont situées à un étage supérieur, accessible uniquement par des marches extérieures.
La nuit, comme l’hôtel est situé près de clubs, il y a beaucoup de bruit jusqu’aux petites heures du matin.
Les membres du personnel nous répondaient en nous regardant de haut et n’étaient pas bienveillants.
Nous avons appris un peu plus tard qu’il était possible de demander à un chauffeur de nous déposer au bas de la colline, mais ce service n’est pas disponible en tout temps.
