Takbo Beach Resort

The night we arrived, 9pm, at Takbo beach, we were asked to find accommodation elsewhere as Takbo beach was undergoing restoration work. We did not receive any emails to advise us to do this from either Expedia or Takbo beach, before our arrival. Terrible management. Please revise your trip if it's in the next few months!!!

The hotel should have stated that they're in the middle of building another floor above all rooms so that guests could decide with clarity and accuracy to book their rooms or not. The compound was full of building materials and 10's of workmen working around.
Though the hotel owner offered free breakfast as gesture, their forthcoming honesty with current condition would be appreciated.
With their current state, I won't recommend anyone for this hotel especially with young children. Once renovation completes, then it's a good option to consider if prices remain reasonable. Beach front was small and not much facilities. No gym, no pool, no in-house shop and no restaurant. No room service obviously.

Vi er kjempefornøyde med at vi valgte å bo på Takbo Beach Resort! Fra første stund ble vi tatt imot med varme og gjestfrihet av eieren, Madeline, som sørget for at vi følte oss velkomne.

Madeline informerte oss om at det var byggearbeid i gang med fire nye rom, og at det kunne bli litt bråk om morgenen – noe vi satte stor pris på å bli gjort oppmerksomme på. Som en hyggelig gest fikk vi gratis frokost levert på døren i to dager, servert av Madelines svigerinne Lina . En utrolig koselig og personlig service!

Rommet vi bodde i var både romslig og rent, med en myk og behagelig seng som gjorde det lett å slappe av.

Vi var litt sent ute med å bestille island hopping, men Madelines nevø, Toto, var fantastisk hjelpsom og ordnet tur for oss i siste liten. Det gjorde bursdagen min ekstra spesiell – noe jeg virkelig setter pris på.

Vi gleder oss allerede til å komme tilbake og booke et av de nye rommene i andre etasje når de står ferdige. Vi fikk også vite at det skal bygges et svømmebasseng – noe som bare vil gjøre opplevelsen enda bedre!

Alt i alt anbefaler vi Takbo Beach Resort på det sterkeste. Fantastisk service, personlig oppfølging og en varm og inkluderende atmosfære. Vi kommer definitivt tilbake!

great stay, facility well maintained

Clean and quiet

We liked that it’s quiet. We enjoyed the ocean view and liked that was clean behind the gate. We also felt safe and it was easy access to everything. The restaurant was also good.

Pros-Close to restaurants and bars but far enough to be quiet for the night. Good AC. Clean room. Good service. great place to stay if youre bot after beachfront.
Cons- not so good beach to swim. Lots of astray dogs by the beach. Not a beach view property but near the beach. Photo can be deceiving.

The property manager was helpful. He told us about the hidden gems in the island. There is restaurant/night club called Two Brown Boys in front of the resort. We could barely hear the noises at night. We had a good sleep. The property is very walkable to the beach. Don’t expect 5 star service but you feel that you are just at home chilling. I would definitely come back to this resort.

Staff Toto was kind and helpful. Price was good. Place is clean and quiet. AC working well. Easy access to tricyle transportation .

This resort hotel room was in excellent condition—clean and pristine. I had no issues with either the room or the bathroom. I gave it a perfect 5-star rating not only because of the accommodations but also thanks to the caretakers. Toto, who assisted us during check-in, was incredibly helpful and courteous. The husband-and-wife team, whose names I unfortunately forgot to ask, were also wonderful and very accommodating. While the beachfront may not be the best in Siargao, it was peaceful and beautiful, especially during sunrise and sunset.

Very nice property, clean great views of the beach, walkable to the main stores and clubs. A good restaurant and bar just outside. The beach is unusable though due to all the vegetation.

Walkable to a few good restaurants, a couple very small stores, and the Tom n Tom’s coffee shop. Large clean bungalow type rooms with updated bathroom and very cold AC in our room!

Very accomodating staff. Worth it for a beach front.

Our room was very large, 2 large beds, tv, large fridge and bathroom was fine with separate shower and curtain! There is an outside shaded seating area with table and chairs. You can hang wet clothing on the seating area railing. We were only steps from the beach! Everything was awesome, the only reason we gave this 4 stars was because there is ongoing construction of a new reception area and restaurant. Looks like it will be at least a couple of months more. The noise was a bit annoying if you were at your room during the day. Otherwise, a wonderful stay with a very helpful staff.

Toto is an amazing host who cares about the experience of his guests. This guy deserves a raise :) He goes above and beyond to make sure hotel guests are well taken care of.
