Comfortable and restful. Thank you!
Pros:

The floor was without carpets which always is cleaner with or without a pet. We were placed at the end of the hallway just steps from the side door. It was easier to walk the dog and to load and unload our car. The beds were super comfortable with tons of pillows and tons of towels in the spotless bathroom.

Cons:

The breakfast. The young man responsible for getting out the hot food was also covering the front desk. At 6:45 two of the hot plates were empty and we had to leave before he could fill them again.

Rooms were clean. The walls thin.!!! and I slept in a damp bed because of the humidity for two days

Booking. Com booked for the wrong days!! It was sept 4-5 !!! Right during the biggest Amish flee market. So they thought o was supposed to to be here the day before!! Charged my credit card. On top of that. Room rates were 50.00 more and they would not fix it!! I made that reservation months ahead of time. Then called the Clare best western a few days later to confirm. They said yes. Them I called about a week before to confirm and actually gave them the day and they said yes. We have your room dates confirmed. This was horrible. And paying more was terrible. I booked so far in advance so that I could get a better rate. I booked with “booking.com “with confidence that I would get a better rate. This unplanned extra $50. I could’ve stayed somewhere else cheaper. This made it very disappointing, and I am not happy with booking.com. I do not think I will ever use it again because of this.what was more important is that twice when I called to confirm, they never said “ this is not the days we have”. You booked for. Very frustrating.

Conveniently located off the freeway. After entering the dirty front entrance I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the place. Please deep clean the front entrance and I believe it will make the first impression much better. Clean up the shrubbery around the front and add a bench so those smokers don’t have to flick their butts onto the asphalt. The property is actually quite nice, it just needs some spit shine out front!

Cons:

Signage on the street is difficult to find at first glance. The front entrance of sliding glass doors really needs a deep clean. The glass was foggy as I walked in the front door so my initial impression was not good. The brown aluminum frames need serious soap and water.

Probably will stay again, but I like hotels/motels with a pool.

Cons:

Had no bath towels, had no shampoo. And ants were coming out of a hole between the lower shower tiles. I ask d for an elder room with walk in shower and safety handles, that I didn’t get. But overall it could have been worse.

Friendly Service and a Peaceful Setting
Pros:

We had a very pleasant stay here and would happily return. The location is convenient—just off the highway—but still feels peaceful. We requested a quiet room on the second floor overlooking the back, and it ended up being one of our favorite parts of the stay. The view looked out over a beautiful field of wildflowers where we watched birds and deer each morning. Opening the window to the fresh air made for a lovely start to the day.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The hotel isn’t luxurious, but it was comfortable, clean, and well cared for. Our mini fridge wasn’t working, but the staff immediately offered to replace it, which we appreciated, even though we chose not to bother since we were only staying a short time.

Breakfast was the standard hotel fare, and while I didn’t use them, the fitness room and small business workspace looked nice. My only real complaint was that the mattress sagged a bit in the middle, so I didn’t sleep quite as well as I had hoped. Overall, though, it’s a comfortable, reasonably priced hotel with kind staff and a surprisingly beautiful, peaceful setting.

Pros:

The staff and breakfast were great! The beds as well.

Cons:

This is the second time we have been there and this time it was way worse. The shower water was slimy. You couldn't rinse off! No matter how long you scrubbed and rinse. Unfortunately this will be our last time even though we will frequently be traveling there. The shower is a deal breaker.
