Pros:

Never been treated worse at a hotell in all my life when I complained about the room.
Pros:

Nice facilities and good breakfast.

Cons:

The room turned out to be a horrible experience. There was an electric problem that caused the lamps to turn on many times in the middle of the night without anyone touching the switch. Did not sleep anything until finally reception staff took away the fuse for the room (03.30 in the morning). Before that action I had repeatedly gone and complained in the reception all night. In the morning the manager thought it was not a big problem and suggested 2 hours later checkout as compensation which I found absurd. This is my 4th trip to SA and in total I have spent closer to 100 hotel nights in South Africa alone so I consider myself quite an experienced traveller but the treatment that we got despite a little baby with us was absolutely horrible from the white middle manager that literally told us to: "get the fuck out of the hotel" when we complained about the room and did not accept the later checkout. According to him nothing was broken in the room but apparently electric problems with lamps in the room turning on without any action is considered as no major problem. The rest of the staff was great!, but big heads up for this manager! (I am also white so no worries about racism) Never been treated worse in all of my life… However I thank the rest of the staff that understood the issue and helped me to bypass the middle manager to the real manager that finally compensated for the bad experience.

Aussergewöhnlich eingerichtetes, sehr komfortables Hotel mit gutem Service
Pros:

Sehr stilvolles Haus in kolonialen Design. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gosse, ruhige De Luxe Zimmer.

Apart from the terrible room, the hotel was good in all other respects with great staff

Good sized swimming pool. Good restaurant.

Cons:

Booked a superior double. The room was terrible and not at all like the photographs. The only natural lighting was via a small glass door in the far corner of the room. Worst of all was that the room shared a balcony with an adjoining room which meant that any occupants next door had a full view into our bedroom and vice versa. This room should not be sold as superior and should only be sold in conjunction with the adjoining room, with which it had an inter communicating door, also a concern. The hotel manager tried hard to resolve the situation but the hotel was almost full. He agreed to leave the adjoining room empty in order to give us privacy. We paid almost the same as my brother, who had a deluxe room, which was superb in all respects.

The service was amazing, from reception we were warmly welcomed, to cleaners and the restaurant, it was just a great experience. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are nice and clean and a good size.
