They have excellent staff service, good communication from booking and upon our arrival. They can arrange airport pick up and drop-off at a reasonable price. Rooms are clean. They just need to update their towels. Breakfast is decent, needs variety of choices that are included in the package; empanada platano is the best! The area is very serene. Will highly recommend.

Place is located off the main area. Some will like the quiet. Easy parking and the most helpful team from Luis to angel andd the rest of crew. Will go the extra mile to help you with anything

No hot water access to the beach rocky no place to put soap in the shower. We have to look for the girls to order drinks and food no night stand we have to put our stuff on the floor towels don’t look good. We did like the facilities.the pool doesn’t look very clean

I considered they had de ent for options. I didn’t try everything but what I tried was pretty good. My wife loved the shrimp cocktail. The he breakfast was good. Although on my last day, there wasn’t anyone available other than the construction workers building out the new room. I didn’t get a chance to enjoy a breakfast before leaving. Other than that, nice hotel. Shower was definitely great.

Amazing stay, delicious breakfast. Only thing that was out of the ordinary was when checking out all hotel staff was off and no one was there to take the room keys. Gave keys to a worker that was helping fix the hotel remodeling. We were left there alone and no breakfast which was included with room. I received an email at midnight saying to go eat at a hotel nearby and bring them the receipt for breakfast but no one was there. We opted out of that option and just left.

Property was nice and clean. Had no hot water for first two days.

Our final beach adventure had to be beach front 🏖️ So happy with my choice at Maya Resort. Everything was fantastic and service was phenomenal 💯 Definitely will consider returning and look forward to the renovations 👏

Be careful on those rocks

They will try to charge you twice if you pay at the property. I arrived at 1PM, paid for my reservations, and left my bags because it was too early for the 3PM check in time. After returning at 4PM, I checked in without an issue. About 30 minutes later, a worker came to my door telling me I never paid. I showed him the charge on bank account, and he left. He came back multiple times asking for the same.
He told me to call his manager, but I refused because the property should have my number from the reservation.
I ended up leaving at 7PM and driving back to San Salavdor.
The whole thing seemed like a scam to get double payment. They refuse to issue a refund even after claiming the payment never went through.

In addition to the issues with payment, the photos of the property are misleading. The pool is tiny, more like a plunge pool, and the beach is not accessible.

Hotels.com also refused to help with a refund or credit.

Stay here at your own risk. There are better properties in the area.

Such a lovely view at Casa Maya. The property is beachside. There is a small pool and to swim in. The beach in this part is scenic with a high cliff and a cave next to an extensive amount of beach rocks. The wave is quite strong so it’s not suitable for swimming, but it’s beautiful to view. The service was good and food was decent when I ate at the restaurant . The room was comfortable and had a pleasant beach vibe.

The place is okay nothing fancy but the food service takes for ever

We stayed there for three nights and their food was very good, and all of the staff very friendly.

The place will be better but right now they are doing constructions.
They need to check the rooms every day for towels and toilet paper.

Staff was incredible! Best staff so far on our three week vacation travels. Wendy, Karla, Diana, Angel and Marylyn. I need coffee every morning before I start my morning, there was no coffee pot in the room, they do have a note that states that if you want room service, you can always order it, but all I wanted was my coffee in the morning so Wendy the AM waitress made sure to pass it Karla the evening waitress. Karla brought a coffee pot and coffee that evening. That meant the world to me, and they all did it with a smile!
The property is under construction, but even the people working were very pleasant.

Due to recent high sea level and waves the beach is pretty much gone 😞, they are only rocks left but this is everywhere in La Libertad. The waves are amazing for surfing though!!

I had made a reservation for 3 days and left 2 days early it was awful and I’m not recommending it at all.

Very cute hotel! Everything was excellent. Staff was super friendly, we had a very good fish and sunset time on the beach was my favorite. Highly recommended!
