Pros:

Biggest problem was that the wifi didn't work and the tech staff had all gone home! But many nice places to walk.

Poor quality, but good location
Pros:

The minimum level of hospitality is extended to guests. I found the front desk staff to be curt and happy to get rid of you as quickly as possible. The beds had no comforters and there were not extra blankets anywhere. The mattresses were sagging and of very poor quality. A previous guest's dirty clothes were in the dresser! After a long day of travel, I was looking forward to a hot shower in my cabin only to find the max temp was lukewarm. The food at Stone Cafeteria is terrible. I feel awful for the students at Interlochen who have to eat there! The only positive is the location. If you are attending an event at Interlochen, this is the most convenient option. I gave it extra stars simply for this. The staff is sorely in need of hospitality training. Kindness is free!

Pros:

This hotel is on the grounds of the Interlochen Center for the Arts - a spectacular center for musicians and visual and performing artists in Northern Michigan. Don't follow Google maps or Expedia directions; just go to the arts center. The rooms Expedia gets are dorm-style - sparse, small, simple. You do get 3 meals in the cafeteria along with all the kids who are spending time at the camp doing music training. It's very dorm-like. However, the grounds around the Center are spectacular- a lake, flowers, lovely paths. I was up North for a wedding so i didn't get to hear a concert but it must be a lovely way to hear music, take a stroll, and walk back to your cozy room.

Pros:

A converted dorm room is not my idea of a good place to stay. No place to put suitcases.

The fact that the proceeds go to arts scholarships for teens from around the globe made the stay totally worth it.

Pros:

Hello. I booked a room at the Stone Hotel on Wed., June 21 for one night for myself, and from July 2-6 for me, my wife, and my daughter. When I arrived at the hotel on June 1, I asked whoever was at the desk if the room could accommodate 3 people with a rollaway. They said no, they do not have rollways, so I thought I cancelled the room then for the July 2-6 period. I did not realized I had to go through Expedia to cancel the room, I thought the person at the desk did that. So I never showed up for the reservation. I am OK with losing one nights reservation fee for the room because of the misunderstanding, but I do not think it is fair to lose all the nights fees, especially since you just assumed I had checked in. I was hoping I could get a voucher or something for some of the nights I missed. Thank you.

Pros:

Right on the lake with beautiful stone buildings. Staff at the gate indicated it was "straight back" which wasn't helpful and breakfast was college dorm-like. No complaints.

Pros:

Our stay was fine. I feel that a more detailed explanation of where the hotel is actually located would be extremely helpful. Our maps app could not pick up the location and we drove in circles for a half hour. I also think a better description of the actual hotel facility would be helpful-no elevator and very limited bathroom space/shower only. Beautiful grounds and would recommend under the correct circumstances.
