Nando's Place

The locals were very nice & accommodating. Parking sometimes was difficult but had a great experience.

The property had just changed management and has a few hic ups to sort out. The place its self is very basic and very noisy all hours as a park and bars in the area so lots of actiity making it difficult to sleep.
The new Manager was very friendly and was there when we called. Hope things will work out for him.

The staff was very friendly and helpful if we had any questions. The property was as described and was very clean. The location is centered between Old San Juan and San Juan. We enjoyed the walk to Old San Juan. It’s about a 15 minute walk to a nice beach. It can be a little noisy with the people at the bar across the street. But, the master bedroom is quiet. The only issues we had was the shower never had hot water. We also wish we had a microwave. We would definitely stay again.

Great location with restaurants and bars close by and short distance to Old San Juan. The place was clean and just as advertised with all the amenities needed. Communication prior to arrival and check out date was good, however, I texted asking for info about activities and tours and never heard back. Overall good experience.

Our stay at Nando’s was nice. Quick & easy check-in/out, friendly staff, great location (close to downtown & old San Juan, we drove). We loved the terrace. Rooms were air conditioned but communal areas weren’t which was nice. My only qualm was that they’d just mopped the floors with very strong smelling cleaner when we walked in (fabuloso?), and it never went away during our two days there. It didn’t do much because the floors were actually still filthy. Not the worst thing, but bring flip flops to wear around the apartment & for when you get out of the shower. Beds were clean and comfortable.

Nando’s place is in a great location. Ty he communication with the staff was outstanding the check in/out process was easy. Would definitely stay here again

Overall I enjoyed my stay. The staff was really lovely with the exception of one of the woman working the front desk the day that I checked out. How it works, you get a code that lets you into the gate to Nando‘s place, and then another code that gets you into your room. But, when you stay at Nando‘s, you don’t get the code to where the front desk is &my last day there, the woman behind the desk would notice that I was outside and ignore me. Once, the business next door had to let me walk through & the 2nd time another guest had to advocate for me standing outside. The front desk lady responded with: you don’t have the code, which I thought was really rude and confirmed she kept leaving me out there intentionally- it was so disgusting of her because it was so hot and I WAS A GUEST!

Now, the area does look sketch, but it was safe enough. I traveled to San Juan solo and came home at night many times and never had any issues. It truly is a great location- close to so much. I didn’t experience the rooster too much and when I did it wasn’t anything that ruined my sleep. Monday- Wednesday nights were quiet, but on Thursday when the bars started it was LOUD! Finally, the room wasn’t upgraded like the photos the tile, floor,& couch have seen better days but it was very clean! I stayed very busy so this room was perfect for me& I will book again. Also Uber was quite inconsistent in the area so give yourself an extra 15 mins. To get a driver-drivers accept then decline back to back

Our stay was very good. Comfort (bed) was good. After a long days of hiking, beach, or just exploring the neighborhoods it was good to come home to rest. Miguel was wonderful with all our needs. Everything was near and within walking distant.

One negative review security opened my apartment door while we slept. It was a scary moment because that is one of my greatest fears. It was so unsettling. addressed issue with front desk the following morning. There was a neighborhood rooster who decides to crackle at 300am in the morning all the way till sun came out. Very annoying when your trying to sleep.

This room was very clean and had all the amenities described. The location was convenient for a pleasant 20 minute walk to Old San Juan. The reason for the low rating is the noise around the property. The apartment is all cement, tile and metal and there is no noise dampening. Whatever is happening outside is echoing all around you. I was there on Sunday and Monday and the neighborhood bar across the street would get cranking around 11 PM, people would bring their drinks outside and have fun. This happened both nights until about 2 AM when there was a quiet time. At 4 AM the rooster started in. Needless to say, the room was great for everything except sleeping. I lived for 15 years in a large South American city. I understand the culture being fun loving and boisterous. This was the end of my trip and I was looking forward to a couple of good nights to unwind and relax. The apartment is nice, the staff is great, the location near beautiful Escambron Beach and Old San Juan, is great. Unfortunately, the bar, roosters, and some street characters, make this spot too lively for me. The hotel could invest in some noise dampening articles, like rugs, tapestries, etc.

Affordable is the nicest thing I can say, and conveniently located. Staff was friendly, other than attempting to make me download WhatsApp and trying to tell me it was “required” to stay there…just no. I had to finish making up my bed, but I guess they did leave me a clean sheet on the table. Main reason for low rating is there was no hot water. I’ve stayed in campgrounds with better showers. Next time I’ll spend a bit more on my hotel.

Nice place, the location really good, can’t complain..

We stayed in Flat 3, in a very spacious, comfortable and well-equipped flat. Very nice apartment and smooth check in (though wasn’t ready until 4pm, unfortunately).
Walking distance to the centre of old San Juan.
Everything was great, however the noise outside throughout the night and before 7am was too much for us and very disturbing.

Location is good for the money

I love this place and I will definitely be studying here again everything is east access love the bodega and bar across the street love that everything is walking distance , thank you

staff are nice. old furnitures but relatively clean. cannot sleep over night because of all kinds of loud noise on street，and a lot mosquito bites.
