Mojave Resort - Adults Only

We've been coming to the desert for 25 years. We've stayed in most of the large resorts or VRBO's with many great experiences. This time, we decided to go back to The Mojave after not staying there for about 5 years. Wow! We've found our new 'go to'. The location, right off El Paseo is outstanding. Park the car, walk to great restaurants and shopping. The entire place is immaculate, everyday! Adults only, but allow well behaved dogs. We love the atmosphere! It's so easy, so relaxing, quiet. The big resorts have their plus's I suppose, but there's something special about keeping it simple. The rooms are large, big windows, bright! Every morning...here comes a cool retro little cooler with oj, muffins, apples, yogurt. Who doesn't love morning delivery! Fresh Keurig coffee maker. Each evening they light up the firepits and have "Sundown Salute"! So great, they pour everyone Prosecco around the firepit/pool area. Lovely. This is a place for friends, couples, and a perfect quiet and safe retreat for a solo traveler. We obviously highly recommend and can't wait to return in a couple months.

We were very satisfied with this property! We had an easy check in. We appreciated the friendly and helpful staff. The grounds were very well kept and beautiful. The location is unbeatable; nested in a lovely quiet neighborhood yet walking distance to everything you would need during your stay. Breakfast to your door is a super nice touch!

We come Palm Desert every year and always choose to stay at Mojave. Very clean, added touches like complimentary wine/beer in the evening. Quiet atmosphere. Great for couples that want a relaxing stay. Only recommendation would be healthier breakfast :)

Loved the remodeled rooms and the staff were terrific

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from El Paseo with its shops, art galleries, and restaurants. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing. The room was simple with a very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and attentive. A great experience!

Beautifully updated mid-century motel. Rooms and grounds were very clean and maintained. This motel is in the perfect location, being in an upscale neighborhood and walking distance to Paseo Drive. Drinks are provided upon arrival and a "breakfast pod" is delivered in the morning to your front door. I like they provide a fan in the room and the ice machine worked real good. they also have bikes available to explore the nbhd. Very nice receptionist upon arrival and departure.

The grounds at Mojave Resort are beautifully manicured, the rooms are a great size, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV in the room was also excellent and added to the overall comfort. Unfortunately, the WiFi was basically unusable. It would work for about 30 seconds before cutting out and needing to be restarted. On top of that, cell service did not work inside the rooms, which made staying connected frustrating. The shower needs a bit of a remodeling and is quite tight quarters with poor water pressure. The bathroom itself however is a good size.

The resort fee also felt excessive, especially since there were no clear added benefits. They said it covered the breakfast box in the morning, which was cute and trendy in presentation, but it included items I would never eat such as Sunny Delight, packaged muffins, and yogurt.

Overall, it is a nice place to stay with beautiful grounds and comfortable rooms, but the unreliable internet and the unnecessary resort fee left a bad taste. Resort fees in general feel like the most nickel and dime thing imaginable, especially when there is no clear benefit to justify them.

Such a charming place and incredible location that is quiet and walkable to coffee, restaurants, and shopping in El Paseo. Nice little touches like breakfast coolers delivered every morning and sunset drinks available at no cost. Plus our pup stayed for free and it was very pet friendly. We will definitely be back.

Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars with the remodel is that the bathroom NEEDS some counter space. A little vanity next to sink would help us ladies out a lot. It’s tough to do makeup or hair with no place to put toiletries. It also could use a space to put clothes away.

But other than that, we loved it!

An incredible stay. Beautiful, enclosed grounds with no children offers a quiet and relaxed stay. Everything is clean and well maintained. Room is light and bright and the bed was super comfortable. Fire pits at golden hour are a must and 24/7 access to the pool is an amenity no other hotel offers. Service from Al really was the icing on top. Don’t hesitate to book, this place is a no brainer and we will be sure to return again and again!

I was looking for a brief getaway to relax from a busy working month while finishing up emails, etc. I found the Mojave Resort for a great price and when I got there, the style and aesthetic was fantastic! Location is great: walkable to El Paseo. Bed was SO comfortable and I slept great. People complained about loud AC unit but I liked the white noise. Boxed breakfast and complimentary drinks are a plus!! Downsides for me: poor or no wifi (had to hotspot but for people who want to be offline, no problem), no rugs in room (personal preference), and I should have brought bug spray as it was unseasonably humid and I attract every bug around... not usually an issue in the desert but this particular time it was. Otherwise this was a fantastic deal and I would definitely stay again!

Place was clean. Beds were comfortable. Only negatives for me were small. The shower sliding glass doors would stay shut so you had to be a rag in the track to keep it closed. Also the people that clean the grounds were using their loud equipment around 8:30. Recommend the place because this things are super fixable.

Local couple had been wanting to stay after seeing the remodel. The colorful, fun vibe was a welcoming escape. We liked it so much, we decided to stay a 2nd night, especially because the manager approved the very same rate we had the first night, as the September spacial was still on. After the 2nd day, we had to check out at 6am due to our schedule. NOW THE PROBLEMS...I get home and email that I want a detailed receipt. No answer after 3 emails. Finally a receipt is sent and I am over-charged! Two more email explaining the error, NO REPLY. SO FOLKS, BE VERY CAREFUL OF BEING SCAMMED. I am guessing they need help paying for the renovations? A good stay ruined by no communication and dishonest management. Very disappointing.
