Nothing. it’s perfect in every way
This new property is located by the beautiful Chettuva river.
The location and staffs
Summa summarum ok für 1 Nacht
The Bungalow at the Beach was full so we booked into the sister property (no comparison with the stunning Bungalow). It was very cute and we were prepared for basic. We absolutely loved visiting this village. The history there is pretty incredible and it was great place to wander around. We were a bit horrified to see the renovation of the old Danish Fort that has been plastered over. But it was amazing to see the old churches and cemeteries.
Like other reviewers have noted, the dining area is rather depressing. We weren’t able to book into the Bungalow for dinner as it was fully booked. The food itself was good, but there’s no wine or beer available. We did enjoy our coffees on the rooftop in the morning, and in better weather—less rain and fewer bugs—it seems like a pleasant spot to eat as well, with a more scenic view.
We had no idea what Pongal was before this trip, but we certainly got the full experience—the nearby temple started playing extremely loud music from 4 a.m., which disrupted our next day. It seems likely that this would affect any hotel in the village, unless there’s some arrangement between the temple and the accommodations.
Breakfast spread was good, tasty and served well. Chef personally came and explained things alongwith staff Prasila. Much appreciate.
Cloth cupboard or almirah in room
I loved the staff who accommodated our needs. Loved the superb breakfast. Love how close it is to the beach and the beautiful property and the size of the room that easily accommodated our group of 3
FOOD COULD BE BETTER
NO PARKING IS BIGGEST DRAWBACK
Everything was exceptional. The staff, food, room, services and location. Will hopefully return soon!
Absolutely nothing. Please don't change!
Location was fine
Staff was friendly.
The decor which had lungis on the wall.really looks pathetic.
Net hanging on the Dining room windows ..looks really cheap and 3 rd class.
Food was average.
Service was average.
Maintainance not upto the mark.
Good, clean and spacious room; tasty food ; courteous staff
Food orders took too long; no dorm facility for drivers despite a Tamil Nadu Government order mandating that..

In a small town with few accommodation possibilities the Coconut Alley provide comfortable rooms with a hint of colonial history.
The restaurant decoration doesn’t contribute to a warm atmosphere (however they may let you eat patio on top)
Calm, great staff, nice location, clean rooms.
The generator noise, low seating furniture’s in the room which is not senior citizen friendly.
The location was prestine with a quaint neighborhood and iits history. The beach is close to the property and other historical places, the staff were courteous, polite and very helpful especially the chef Sharavan excellent cook. Worth the trip and the experience..
