Had a weird odor in hallways

The water pool was too cold.

Mactan area is a dead end as far as tourism is concerned. Have to travel for an hour minimum to get to Cebu proper, not to mention any real sight seeing takes at least 4 hrs to get anywhere interesting. The hotel's beach area smelled like a sewer, was crowded and the bar drinks were abysmal. The ceiling in our room was constantly dripping from the ceiling AC and though the staff were trying to maintain it, brown sludge had built up on the ceiling and was staining the floor. The hallway smelled musty, likely due to carpeted floors in a tropical climate.
We splurged to stay in this hotel and it was a total disappointment- you're completely removed from the Philippines and segregated into a boring and gentrified tourist town. In hindsight, we should have stayed in a less expensive place where we could at least talk the locals.

Plusieurs problèmes ont fortement impacté mon séjour et mon expérience globale.

Tout d’abord, il y a eu un écart de prix important. Le tarif affiché lors de la réservation était de 97€, avec environ 12€ de taxes et frais clairement indiqués. Cependant, j’ai été facturé 127€ à l’arrivée, sans explication claire concernant ces frais supplémentaires.

Les équipements de l’hôtel n’étaient pas conformes aux attentes. La piscine était hors service sans information préalable. L’accès à la plage a également été problématique, car les bracelets nécessaires ne m’ont pas été fournis. De plus, la zone plage/piscine est située à distance, ce qui la rend peu pratique d’accès.

Le “surclassement avec vue mer” proposé en compensation est trompeur : la vue donne principalement sur des zones densément construites et non sur une véritable vue mer dégagée.

Des problèmes d’entretien sont également à signaler. Une forte odeur d’humidité était présente dans les couloirs. Le sauna ne chauffait pas correctement et les douches du vestiaire étaient en mauvais état.

Dans la chambre, plusieurs éléments ont affecté le confort : absence d’eau chaude, pommeau de douche entartré, et climatisation très bruyante et peu efficace.

Enfin, le rapport qualité/prix est très mauvais. Durant mon voyage, j’ai séjourné dans des hostels à 15€ la nuit mieux entretenus et plus confortables. Pour un prix presque dix fois supérieur, cet établissement ne répond pas aux attentes.

The thermostat in the room didn't work right it just had the AC on full blast but I didn't want to complain and the USB socket in the wall didn't work either that would be in room 8018 .

The breakfast food was good I would make one suggestion put out smaller portions to keep it hotter and renew it more often you put out plenty of eggs but they sat out for so long they got cold for example but the food was nice nonetheless

Disappointed not to use hotel pool but quite understood the reason and the pool at the beach (5 minute walk) made up for it

На завтраке скудный выбор блюд, омлеты делают на заказ не каждый день. Рыбы нет, одни сосиски.
Также не сильно разнообразное меню на ужин. Возможно это связано с тем, что в отеле происходила смена бренда и он только входил в сеть Mercure.
