Pros:

Sooooo schön in Zanzistar! Wir hatten das Zimmer direkt am Strand ... einfach, aber alles da, sicher, sauber und einen unbeschreiblich schönen Blick direkt auf den Strand ... einfach die Türen öffnen und im weißen, weichen Sand stehen! Toll!!
Auch das Frühstück war lecker, der Service klasse - Peter hat uns geholfen, für zwei Tage einen Scooter zu mieten ... unbedingt machen! ... und für uns eine Tour durch Jambiani organisiert. Das Personal ist super-freundlich. Highlight war sicherlich auch der Kinoabend unter dem Sternenhimmel und dazu lecker im Hotel zu Abend gegessen.
Auf jeden Fall eine 100%-Empfehlung!!

Pros:

I had assumed incorrectly that Zanzistar was on the beach, so when I arrived, I was really disappointed. I felt claustrophobic in the garden which is surrounded on all sides by high fences. The beach bar which is a 5-minute walk away was underwhelming and there were lots of people smoking. Unless you lay in the front row, in the sun, you couldnt really enjoy the sea view. Unlike the photos, our room was very dark and it was impossible not to bring sand into the room without a deck/patio by the door. We only stayed 1 of the 4 nights and cur our losses and stayed elsewhere. On a positive note, Peter, the manager is a great guy and the Kingfish curry was delicious. Sorry to be a naysayer but on Zanzibar, I didn't want to be hemmed in.
