Upon arrival the Valet Parking Workers greeted us with a warm welcome. Checking in the front end representative was very polite, friendly and greeted us with a smile. The stay was fabulous and the food at the restaurant on the property was excellent.
Stunning property. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Superb location , facilities and staff. This place deserves the highest possible rating. Superb is an understatement.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
The breakfast was very good. Excellent location.
No dislikes.
Liked the location from Union Station, fantastic rooms and nice facilities
Room was a little dark.
Clean large room
Nothing it all was amazing . But if o had to say one thing is the restaurant the food needs to be more up to date . Need to jar more things to eat for breakfast
Let’s start from the beginning:
The property was easy to find. I loved the drive up valet. We were greeted right away. Inside was clean and welcoming. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The restaurant is amazing. My accommodations were outstanding. I booked a standard queen. It was lovely. Clean, comfortable and quiet. You’ll have a robe and slippers in the bathroom closet. All the amenities you’d find in an upscale hotel! I can’t forget to mention the beaver pillow. So cute! It was exactly as shown online. It’s in a fantastic spot if you are attending an event at the arena as it’s in walking distance.
Finally, staying in DC can be expensive. I didn’t break the bank staying here and was thrilled with everything. I would recommend staying at The Royal Sonesta for all of these reasons and more!
This gets a zero. I loved everything!
Room nice and spacious
Hotel has really nice decor
No microwave in room had to request one never got it
Front counter guy wasn't customer service savy
Had to wait 20 mins for $65 valet to get the car twice after being texted to say it will be available in 5mins
Clean respectful place...
The food it need things like burgers fries etc ,(finger food)
Clean & new hotel. Beds comfy. Food good.
Don't like junk taxes - don't charge me for the coffee pods in the room and WiFi and water... if breakfast is included then don't impose budgets and credits which are confusing. Overly complicated check in. STATIC electric shocks when touching things!
The room was great spacious the staff was very friendly. The room was super clean. The bedding was comfortable. The bathroom was clean.
And the restaurant downstairs: the best breakfast I’ve had in years
Newish hotel, clean, bright. Rooms were quite basic in design but comfy. Bathroom a good size, big tv.
Package bought was for a king size room with DC monument view. Requested high floor with good views, (subject to availability this would be considered) yet got standard king, small room with city view (looking straight in to offices opposite with no view) despite the hotel only being full to 30% capacity. Room descriptions vary achieving to what website you're using. Seems the same room is defibrillator in different ways and I'm unsure how any could have an actual monument view since it's not tall enough or opposite anything of mention. Room charges are very confusing: we paid extra for breakfast included but then told we had to stick within a budget and this did not include most drinks so with a pricey a la carte menu and a couple of coffees, this would exceed that. (The menu was good though). Destination taxes of 37 dollars per day for stuff (like basic WiFi and a bottle of water/ coffee) that's normally standard and free in most hotels is a steep addition to the bill that is not made completely evident at purchase point. Customer services a bit hit and miss. Tips expected, be aware and carry cash.
Everything was great. I loved the breakfast. The food was delicious. The hotel staff was really nice and kind. A very pleasant place to stay.
Nice size rooms!
The view of my room was nice but there were homeless people on the property that we could see directly outside our windows
