Room was absolutely lovely, staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Room service food was nearly inedible. The infinity pool was not in fact and infinity pool and the hot tub was lukewarm.
The room was a decent size and the pool area was cool, but hot tub wasn’t working
Loud noise coming from bathroom fan, had to have maintenance come, hot tub wasn’t working. Bed sheets felt like sand paper.
To make our Portland trip a little extra special I booked a couple of nights at the Ritz for my daughter and I. The check-in process was a breeze and the lovely young lady at check-in also upgraded our room without me even asking. We were very pleased with the room, the views from it, and it was also pleasantly appointed (all the little things that the Ritz does to make the stay even more impressionable). The location within the city was ideal, as we were within walking distance to most things within the city. This was actually my first experience staying at any Ritz Carlton and what stood out to me the most is the customer service. Before my trip, the Ritz emailed me asking for any information to help make the stay with them extra special and I shared that I loved photography and that part of this getaway was to do some photography in and around Portland and if they could recommend any places including off the beaten path locations that could be good to shoot. When we got to our room, there were two hand-written notes, one welcoming us to the hotel, and the other was specific to recommendations for me to visit and photograph as well as a map with those areas circled. I sincerely appreciated this personal touch and the effort that the concierge put into this and I made a point of thanking Joey for taking the time to put all of that together for our stay. Since there are so many restuarants in the area, I didn't get to eat or drink inside the hotel, so I can't really comment on that, however, everything sounded very good and the bar area had a great ambiance to it.
The absolute friendliest people we’ve ever came across at a RC for a first time experience. This ritz took #rcmemories to a whole new level.
The check-in experience was easy. The club experience is top notch. Food was so fresh, tasty and Sara Lee and Christopher were so attentive.
The infinity pool is massive and quaint at the same time. The ceiling to floor windows and ceiling reflective mirrors provide a luxury you must experience.
The fitness area has state of the art equipment and smells so good. Who needs a Peleton when your view is hilly greens and beautiful trees as if you’re running in nature.
We did the Omakase experience at the Meadowrue restaurant. Mek was phenomenal. You could tell he took pride.
I would absolutely recommend this best kept secret (at least it was for me).
My husband and I had an extraordinarily wonderful experience at the Ritz Carlton in Portland,Or. We originally planned four nights while visiting family and friends in the area. We extended our stay to eight days to attend a family funeral for a sudden passing of a nephew.
What made our stay so exceptional was our guest services staff in the Lounge providing service to hotel guests. These professionals, Mae Mae, Sara Lee, Natasha and Christopher made our stay so memorable. They welcomed us daily, knew our preferences before long and made sure everything was above expectation. Can’t wait to return. Front Desk and Valet were likewise very personable.
Proximity to downtown conveniences, the spaces felt luxe, the views were great, and staff was so nice, they truly made our stay special. Also love that we can upgrade our stay to concierge level to truly enjoy our time.

The Ritz Carlton in Portland is a wonderful property. Great location, amazing rooms and the rooftop is superior.
We enjoyed our stay. Everyone that works there is amazing. Super friendly. Manager Ruben Andrade went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. I cannot recommend this property enough!

Excellent 7 day stay. Accommodating in every way possible. What I have come to expect from RC facilities elsewhere.
Expectations for The Ritz are high and there are some opportunities for refinement at this property. The property is lovely and well located and we had a very nice room and also a great spa experience but it still seemed to be working kinks out which was disappointing. Just a few tweaks would be helpful: 1) No greeters or concierge staff available during our stay; 2) Despite having do not disturb light on room received turn down service and then turn down service was not great - no additional water provided, no new towels; we had three people in the room - all on the reservation and still only two water glasses, two waters - just some of the details were missed; 3) Pool area not well cleaned and no available plastic water cups for use with water dispenser; 4) Would benefit from a little more diversity on the restaurant menu/opening the lobby bar area earlier for small plates/healthier lunch options. Again, love The Ritz but have very high expectations for service and amenities which unfortunately need a little work at this property.
