The staff was amazing. Everyone was courteous and had treats for our dog. Lovely location and we go out of our way to stay at a Kimpton hotel. Love the gardens adjacent to the hotel.
A beautiful lobby and bar area
I heard a dog barking throughout the night! I love dogs, but feel that the hotel should limit the number.
Beautiful property.
No free water in the room.
Property was great, very nice building, facilities and super clean.
I just didn’t like that they forgot to give me a pack and play after they confirmed it before my stay. Also, they were nice by offering me a free late check out due to the incident, but now I see a charge in my credit card. Messaged them through booking but haven’t heard back from them.
Clean, beautiful, relaxing, accommodating
No self parking
The location was perfect! The room and amenities were amazing.
Parking.
The overall appearance of the hotel.
It’s supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel yet the hallway on the first floor smells like cigarette smoke, because guests including staff, stand out side near the doors to the side sidewalk and smoke. Once the door is opened by someone leaving or entering the building, the smoke floods the interior. Not good. So when I leave my room, I have to smell toxic cigarette smoke/smell. Otherwise this hotel is comfortable and pleasant to stay at.
So open airy and friendly. The garden walk out back is amazing
Liked it all … the handicap door openers weren’t working but are getting fixed (we had a friend on crutches so I noticed!)
for some reason the bathroom was empty be of the old styles with a tub and an old school shower curtain instead of something modern like on the pictures i saw and like i had last time i went … they should clarify the type of bathroom they are giving you when you select a room
The property is immaculate.
The property is very clean and modern. All employees were very knowledgeable, friendly and fully invested in making sure our stay was enjoyable
Great view from my very nice room. The property was beautiful and very close to UVA campus.
The parking situation is horrible. I did not like that I couldn’t just get to my car as I was in and out a lot. The valets were great and tried to accommodate very much but it was a bottle neck and problem. Also expensive given the hotel rate and if you are in and out tipping each time is out of the question.
