A terrible stay in a hotel in decline
Pros:

Having stayed at the Humewood Hotel 1989 and enjoying it I had similar expectations. A deluxe room with a sea view was booked for 2 nights. I stayed 1 night and moved out. It was a sea view but definitely not deluxe. The 42 inch TV was about 30inch, the raindrop shower was a terrible trickle from a small head, the towel rail was broken and just left there, there was no hot water the evening of arrival, there were no toileteries, the reception was unhelpful. The desk drawer was missing. Free water was promised. There was none. The room door had been damaged and did not lock properly from the inside. The hotel had a large school group there that night. They were pleasant but noisy. It honestly was a stay from hell. I asked for a 1 night refund as I moved out. I was told it was not possible. Definitely not to be recommended.
