Spacious rooms and the cleanliness maintained. The staff is friendly & super helpful. They have a great breakfast layout and had dinner one night which was sumptuous. The hotel is About 10 minutes away from Sidi Yahai which has a whole lot of restaurants and shops. Overall a great place to stay .

The only problem was room service most of the items were unavailable.
We wanted to do the payment in cash with local currency of Algeria; however, the hotel charged the payment from my bank account without consulting with me although the reservation was not classified as " non refundable" . I requested to pay in cash in the local currency but the Hotel refused and charged the payment that they charged directly from my bank account. I contacted Booking.com customer service to address this issue who kindly tried to resolve this issue with the Hotel, but we noticed that the Hotel did not respond to correspondence from Booking.com.
At first, the Hotel management denied having received the payment from our bank account and asked us to pay in cash in addition to the payment that was charged from our Bank account. Then, the Hotel claimed that they received the payment of our booking one month ago although our reservation was made a week around 9 September 2023. Later, the Hotel claimed that they received our payment from our Bank Account in local currency (Algerian Dinars) but our Swiss Bank Account displays that the address of the Bank Account of the Royal Sahel Hotel in UK.
We are very much disappointed with the services and the bad faith of the management of the Hotel seemed not open and transparent. We believe that the transaction of the payment from our Bank Account to the Hotel should be made by Booking.com and not by the Hotel.
