Nice play for a short stay during a trip on North Sumatra
Pros:

Nice location, quite a large complex. The staff is nice and helpful, and willing to give good service.

Cons:

A bit outdated, quality and hygiene standards could be a higher. I am convinced that more tourist would
come then.

Lakeside view to die for!
Pros:

The location is superb, absolutely incredible view of the shimmering lake and the gardens are oh so well maintained. The breakfast is quite simply delicious, plenty of options, both Indonesian, Western, egg station and great coffee too!

Staff are super friendly, we had dinner at the property too and our waiter Jay/ Jalani was so friendly, spoke great English and could not help us enough, the food was delicious!

Cons:

Very little!! It is a little way out of town, which suited us but perhaps if you were flying through and cared little for the lake (then you’re bonkas!) maybe it’s not for you.

Worst hotel toilet ever!
Pros:

The external environment is nice

Cons:

Once u get into the room, it's worst. Toilet is very dirty. Stain on the bedsheet.

Cozy stay in a lake edge hotel.
Pros:

Its location.The only hotel here close to water edge.The lake

Cons:

The walk down the road and the ramp to restaurant and breakfast.The restaurant is in a separate building.

Pros:

nothing beside the view in case you have a lakeside view

Cons:

dirty room, leaking sink drainage, stains on the bed sheet, aircon not working at all, no toilet paper, no room service available even officially provided all time...horrible stay...just book it if ready to get disappointed

Nice old historical place with grand style and I would stay there again
Pros:

Staff tried hard to help us with our transportation needs and they had room service and an open restaurant with good food until 10 pm and hot water with good A/C unit.

Cons:

Smoking in the hall outside our door and the smoke came in.
Having a non smoking section would be better
No English spoken by front desk staff created a long check in process
