Can't wait to come back!
Pros:

Weekend trip to Chimney Rock, and decided to stay a little further away. About a 30 minute drive. We were blown away we we got to the hotel. All stuff was very friendly, and the room was great. Amazing views of the mountains. We watched the sunset on the porch, and were so happy with how peaceful and quite everything was. I kept asking the staff if the price I paid was right. I legitimately thought the price would be double what I had paid.

Family weekend getaway
Pros:

Hotel staff was top notch and always striving to provide the best experience for our family. The food and wait staff was phenomenal in the Grill, and the views overlooking the course were amazing. The golf course offers a wide variety of challenging layouts and pin locations as well as scenic views of the mountains and wildlife. A perfect weekend all around!

Great getaway
Pros:

We just needed a short retreat from life. A comfortable place out of the way, but not too far. Bright's Creek fit the bill and then some! There were complementary water and sodas, with cookies in the afternoon. Super room, amazing bathroom and shower. Check the other reviews concerning the Sunday-Monday closures but it was not a problem for us. The staff was super friendly as well.

Pros:

Beautiful place, staff very friendly and accommodating. Only downside , 30 min from anything. If you are playing golf all weekend and staying here its perfect.

Very nice, but not a hotel by most standards
Pros:

Bright's Creek Lodge was booked based on the advertised amenities -- most importantly the Tom Fazio golf course adjoining this property. What wasn't mentioned in the description: The golf course and the restaurant are closed on Mondays, the night we booked. What we also didn't realize is that this facility is located 30 minutes from any other amenities -- food, golf, etc. It is in a very remote, albeit beautiful, area of the Blue Ridge mountains. After checking in, we accepted our fate and drove to Lake Lure to golf and dine. Nice, but not we'd planned for the afternoon and evening.
The staff, facility, and the room were very nice. But lacking dinner services most days, not a hotel by most definitions. Another word to the wise: Room 305 overlooks a massive parking lot, not hole 9, as advertised. Nor does the lodge's only elevator reach rooms 305 or 306; you must use stairs. Also be aware that the hotel desk staff is only there from 8:30am-6pm, and the reservation fine print says those arriving late will need to wait until the next morning to check in.
In hindsight, we realized this is could be a great venue for those wishing to escape into the wilderness, to golf and/or to enjoy equestrian events on site. But I'd avoid Monday. And also be aware that the restaurant has very limited hours most of the rest of the week (e.g. 9am-2pm Tues-Thurs); so be sure to call and ask for hours before booking if you want to dine on site.

Brights Creek
Pros:

Very nice accomodations but feel the price was high when the restaurant was closed that day and had to drive 20 minutes for food. If food not available should take
off the price. Staff very nice and did have a microwave and fridge but had to bring
own coffee. Room excellent facilities beautiful. Did not have time to play golf.
