Room was clean
This was not the room I booked, not the hotel I booked, the tv did not work and I still have not received a bill for what I paid
Room comfortable. Liked the common areas. Guests were very considerate of each other.
Climbing 2 flights of stairs to get to room
Loved the historic nature of the hotel. Martin was very nice and accommodating when it turned out I’d accidentally booked two rooms. The room was very large with a kitchen area that included a fridge and quite a few small appliances. It was in a hood part of town, close to the only 2 open restaurants in town.
The hotel was pretty old and we were a little concerned about using outlets and appliances. Floors squeaked pretty bad and were loud when we or others walked up stairs or in the hall. The bed frame was old and creaky. My husband and I kept each other up all night because we’d both wake up when one of us moved it turned over. The batteries were dead in our tv remote. I called and Martin answered right away and was very nice. He said he’d bring replacements right away but never showed up. Even the next day someone came in and made our bed but didn’t replace the batteries in the remote, even though we’d left the remote open on the desk because we’d thrown the bad batteries away.
Excellent people to deal with and good value for your money! I really like the push button code for the main door! Will be back for sure!
Old building. Could hear other guest. Noise from other guests walking about. Noise most of night and early morning from other guest entering and leaving. Not what expected.
updated structure. Felt like I was walking on uneven floors. Door frames warped.
The bed was good.
No parking lot, you park on the street. The shower head did not spray; it had two streams of water.
Location is fantastic. We arrived late and the host gave us instructions to access the building and room. A lovely old building with character. Everything worked as it should.
Only the bed was a bit uncomfortable.
Bit of an odd stay but that's part of the charm of a historic hotel. Convenient location downtown right across from the water.
They assigned me to a room that was already occupied but cleared it up quickly by phone call. Bit dated but that's expected.
Great location on the main street. Hotel was exactly as expected: heritage, quirky, with lots of character. Comfy bed and the room included everything we needed for a one night stay. Temps outside dropped below zero overnight but we were plenty warm inside. Silverado restaurant is pretty much right next door. Had a great value dinner there.
Rained in Stewart so nice to have kitchen and seating area
This was much more like an AirBnB than a hotel. No staff. You just walk into the building and the key is in the door to your room. An old building with long staircases up to the rooms. Doors let out into a common area where people can hang out. Rooms are decently maintained.
Breakfast was a package of store-bought muffins and some cereal, plus things in a fridge that I couldn't tell whether could cook myself. No ice machine -- the freezer section of the fridge had a bag or store-bought ice, but it was almost empty.
Nice and cute hotel, old building with lots of character.
We had a room with a kitchen area. Large room, super comfortable.
You can park just in front of the hotel... and there is the best mexican restaurant across the street.
Perfect location to visit Stewart, walk the boardwalk on the estuary and go to the Fish Creek Wildlife Observation Site (Bear Viewing Platform) in Hyder, AK.
nothing
It's an historical building so you expect to not have perfect floor, door etc... but the mattress was terrible probably historical also.
Very small bathroom
Nice and cute hotel. A vipe of going back in the history. Nothing fancy..just the way we like.
