Comfortable and enjoyable stay in Porto.
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location with walking distance to many attractions, even downhill to the river. I have limited mobility, so staying in a flatter part of the city was much more convenient.From check in to check out, the staff were all friendly, helpful and were able to accommodate any requests we had throughout our stay. There is a very yummy restaurant just next door to the hotel. The room was fairly spacious, had amenities for wheelchair accessibility, comfortable beds, great air conditioning and a mini fridge. It was quiet at night and had everything we needed for a great stay. We didn’t include the breakfast so I can’t comment on that. It was also at a reasonable price point for its location, quality of hotel and what you would expect to pay in Porto. I would recommend this to friends, family and anyone travelling to Porto.

Cons:

There was nothing I could really say we didn’t like. Everything was as we expected. If you are wanting a hotel with more facilities - pool, gym etc this is not available but it was not something we needed.

Enjoyed our stay very much and staff were there to help
Pros:

location great, metro a few minutes walk away and tourist ticket for metro and bus only 7 Euro a day
Restaurant very good and great value
Staff fantastic
Lovely room apart from just a few minor things

Cons:

No shaver plug in bathroom
shower tray slippery and controls took some working out

Pros:

Das Frühstück entsprach unseren Erwartungen. Die Lage für Rundgänge durch die Stadt war ideal. Bushaltestellen und U Bahn Station in der Nähe. Zimmer super schallisoliert. Man hört kein einziges Auto und auch keine Touristen auf dem Rathausvorplatz direkt gegenüber. Taxireservierungen über Rezeption funktionierten immer.

Cons:

Die Bar war immer nur auf Nachfrage besetzt. Als wir fragten, ob wir ein Bier mit auf das Zimmer nehmen dürften, um dort TV zu sehen, wurde dies nicht erlaubt. Das verstehe ich nicht unter Service.
Das Badezimmer war extrem klein. Zum WC (direkt hinter der Tür) kommen nur halbwegs schlanke Menschen.

Pros:

Ho scelto questo hotel per le ottime recensioni e per la posizione nella piazza principale della città, ma oltre ad una colazione fornita e abbondante, non c’è molto altro da elogiare (fatta eccezione per le donne delle pulizie ed il personale della colazione che sono davvero favolosi !)

Cons:

La cosa peggiore era il continuo e insopportabile odore di fogna che proveniva dal bagno non finestrato (nonostante fossimo al 5 piano) Il primo giorno abbiamo fatto presente che l’areazione meccanica non funzionava e che non si riusciva a respirare dall’odore che usciva dagli scarichi, ci è stato risposto che era una areazione centralizzata e funzionava in automatico dalle 8:00 alle 20:00. In realtà era del tutto inutile, per poter stare in camera era necessario tenere le finestre della stanza aperte (anche di notte ma solo dopo che il ristorante al piano di sotto aveva terminato il servizio perché lo scarico dei fumi era proprio vicino alla nostra finestra) , sia per evitare che l’odore di fogna si impregnasse nei vestiti e addosso a noi (ma non è servito) sia per evitare di rimettere quello che avevamo mangiato.
La stanza era molto piccola e non adatta ad un soggiorno settimanale, ed oltre a questo le finestre affacciavano su delle antenne disposte a pochissimi metri da noi.
Alcune mattonelle del pavimento del bagno erano completamente staccate con il rischio che camminandoci sopra si spaccassero , e la maniglia della doccia perdeva pezzi di colore. A questo si aggiunge il fatto che la manopola caldo/freddo della doccia era invertita e visto che nessuno ci ha avvisati abbiamo rischiato un’ustione il primo giorno.
Per il prezzo pagato questo hotel è assolutamente non all’altezza, e ha deluso ogni aspettativa possibile !

Stunning Boutique Hotel in Convenient Location
Pros:

What is there not to like when you arrive as a weary traveller to be greeted by the ever helpful Manuel
who then makes your day by saying the words ‘complimentary upgrade’. Gorgeous suite. Comfortable living room with sofa, coffee table and desk. Gorgeous spacious bedroom. Extremely comfortable bed with top quality linen. Big bathroom with bath and separate shower. Views over a lovely square and great location. The staff were outstanding-always ready to help. Thoroughly recommend Axis Club Porto.

Pros:

Die Lage ist sehr zentral.

Cons:

Es gibt keine Vorfahrt, wo Personen und Gepäck stressfrei aussteigen resp. abgeladen werden können.
Die Einrichtung ist sehr nüchtern, wenig gemütlich.

Excellent value for money, fantastic stay
Pros:

Friendly staff, clean room, SUPER comfortable bed, central location

Cons:

Only thing I can fault is there were no pillow options. Feather pillows would have made the stay faultless!!
