Location
Food ws terrible , we where told only could have one bottle of water then had to pay $20 to refill for a family of 4 it became very expenise. Staff couldnt handle our group booking even sometime where rude. on check out the bills where charging us for things we didnt purchased or already purchased. Noise from street was bad.
Amazing service, comfortable roon.
Great location, beautiful view of the Swan River, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. I enjoyed every moment of my stay.
The rooms were great - very nicely furnished and really comfortable.
The hotel also accommodated an extended stay for us (4 nights turned in to 12 as our return flight home was cancelled due to the conflict in the Middle East). They gave us an upgrade to a bigger room with an even better view too, which we really appreciated.
We had one night where we couldn’t get any sleep at all - there was a wedding on the lawn by the river immediately by the hotel, and the music was incredibly loud (too loud to sleep even with ear plugs and white noise playing). We appreciated that the hotel were not responsible for the noise, but the location of the party we imagine is regularly used, as there is gated vehicle access and a power supply (so guess this happens fairly regularly). A lovely spot for a wedding, but not so great for hotel guests.
Good location near the university where we needed to be, Large comfortable bed and spacious room. Everything was crisp and clean
Breakfast had a very limited range with only a few items on the cooked menu. No bacon and eggs. The continental breakfast was a joke. with a few shallow dishes of plain yoghurt and 4 chunks of cheese in a glass cabinet that you had to cut yourself. If there were more than 4 people in the room it would have been a made rush in the limited space at the serving tray. A few stale croissants and assorted rolls dumped in a basket in the middle of the table. To get what you wanted you needed to dig your way through whatever was on offer and try not to imagine that some people may have used there hands for this purpose. Not exactly awe inspiring. When we checked in late evening, we found the concierge sitting in the bar room with blaring music eating an oily bowl of food. He wiped his greasy hands half heartedly before handling our check in and room keys. Getting to the room was a mission with no real guidance and directions in poor English to go top one of the lifts in the distance and only one went to our floor. Getting there was a mission through a labyrinth of concrete corridors within inadequate signage to the room. It seemed to be too much trouble for the staff working there to move away from their desk to show us anything and everything was gesticulated from a stationary position.
Very good
The food was a bit ecotic. Needs to be a bit more basic
Nice & new
Close to Uni & on the river
My partner and I booked a staycation at Wonil after seeing it advertised on social media, but unfortunately the experience didn’t live up to our expectations.
At check-in we were surprised by an additional surcharge and a $100 bond. We were also told parking must be pre-booked and, with only nine spots available, it had already sold out. The restaurant was also closed on Sunday, which was disappointing.
The room itself was nice enough, but the air conditioning was extremely loud, we even joked it sounded like an airplane taking off. The room also lacked some basic comforts such as robes and slippers, despite having robe hooks. The shower was a little complicated to use and the water went cold after around 10 minutes.
Breakfast was another letdown. Even though we paid to include breakfast with our stay, we still had to pay $12 for coffees because the coffee machine couldn’t accommodate almond milk. The food selection was quite limited, I had Vegemite toast and fruit, while my partner chose not to eat at all. In hindsight, we would have preferred to buy breakfast from the café instead.
Overall, the stay could have been a much better experience if these issues were addressed. For $325, we unfortunately didn’t feel it offered good value. We also checked out at 9am and are still waiting for our bond to be returned.
Breakfast food was lovely.
The breakfast service was lacking with staff who were pleasant enough but who seemed muddled. Parking is an issue - there basically isn't any parking unless you are able to prebook 1 of 9 available spaces. We missed out. Driving into the drop off area was very tight (circular). For us it was blocked by 3 other cars, 2 of whose drivers had left their cars, probably single travelers trying to get upstairs to safely drop off luggage. The third driver was trapped between us and a parked car. As there were two of us, one could look after the luggage once offloaded in the drop off area - but our large SUV had to be reversed out of the drop of area, uphill, and against the direction of anyone driving in......who we would not see well whilst reversing. Not ideal, and parking on the street overnight wasn't ideal either.
Breakfast was good. Close to venue for function. Staff went out of the way to be courteous.
Weird sliding door to bathroom.
Great location
Tricky navigating the undercover parking even tho I pre booked
Location.
Comfortable bed
Entrance to reception was confusing,
Lift floor numbers confusing LG,L,UG,1. Reception on 1
Concrete ceiling
Bare corridor floor
Breakfast poor service
No boiling water for tea
Confusing what was part of paid breakfast and what wasn’t. Eg type of coffee
The staff were helpful.
Shortage of parking but you can park on the street for a fee
Location was convenient
The room was not as clean as you’d expect it to be for $340 a night. Bathroom needs a deep clean as it had a bad smell making me and my partner nauseous.
place, vallet people
