Hôtel la Source Bleue

Our check in could be described as perfunctory boarding on the brusque . Upon arrival and pressing the bell we waited a few minutes and someone came along. Didn’t introduce himself or even say “ Welcome etc”, just “what is your name, then your room number is, handed over keys and asked about breakfast. We weren’t even told about the residents lounge ( which we discovered the next morning - a bit too late by then).
Rooms were moderately clean, with a couple of spiders and cobwebs in the ceiling corners and in the separate loo. One chair was stained. The bed was softer than expected but that’s down to personal choice.
The property was chosen due to its location ( just a few km from motorway), but also for the peace and quiet. Alas, we were disturbed at 1am for about 20 minutes due to noisy restaurant visitors leaving the car park, without any consideration for guests. You can guess - the usual, noisy goodbyes, shouting across the car park and lots of giggling, no doubt after several glasses of wine. Unfortunately my poor French wasn’t good enough to explain the disturbance to the waitress at breakfast. So when you book, make sure to ask for a room facing the car park.
Breakfast was the redeeming element as there was a cooked element including sausages, scrambled eggs and bacon.
When we checked out there was no enquiry as to ‘did you enjoy your stay’ etc.

Diese Unterkunft ist etwas Besonderes! Ich war sehr gerne hier und kann allen nur einen Abstecher hierher empfehlen. Die Inhaberin Nathalie ist sehr freundlich. Der Koch ist ein wahrer Könner und alle sehr freundlich, auch der Hofhund!
Sehr bequeme Zimmer, toll und individuell ausgestattet. Ich werde sicherlich bei besserem Wetter einmal wiederkommen. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und ruhig, sehr abgelegen vom Trubel.
Das Essen (ich habe eine Menü gegessen) war hervorragend. Ich habe viele neue Sachen kennengelernt, alle sehr lecker!

Délicieux séjour dans un lieux bucolique et des prestations de charme

Très joli cadre naturel, la source est magnifique. Par contre l’état de la chambre n’est pas à la hauteur du prix : moquette tachée, fuite pommeau de douche. A ce prix on espère mieux.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the hotel is in a great position. Large room with walk in shower. Food was good in the restaurant but the service a little slow. Excellent breakfast.

Un endroit perdu dans la nature, près d'une source naturelle, avec une décoration originale des pièces du restaurant. Excellent étape, dans le calme et la qualité de l'assiette.

Fantastic food and really friendly staff. Very clean rooms all have a view of the lake, and there's a path for you to walk all around it. Lovely breakfast too.

Just a fantastic find off the beaten track, in an idiotic location. Hotel neat and quirky, with great size, comfortable room opening out into the scenic grounds. Restaurant first class, wide choice of dishes, every thing perfect. Friendly staff who were helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend fora relaxing break or over night stay on the way south. Also good value and quality.
