Naya Bacalar Hotel

Le petit-déjeuner pourrait être un peu revu.

The pictures on the website give the impression that you have front view of the lagoon from the room. That is not the case. The rooms are on the side with the street and the place where you serve the breakfast has a patio that looks over the lagoon. You can also go briefly in the water, but you cannot enjoy it too much, as there is wild vegetation very close to the deck.

During the night, we could still hear cars on the street, even though there was a small man-made fountain near to our house that was turned on every now and then, to muffle the noise.

We were disappointed that we were asked for a deposit of around £60 for the room once we reached the hotel, which has not been refunded despite numerous attempts to contact the hotel. We left the room in perfect condition, so this was frustrating. Additionally, we felt that the prices at the hotel, restaurant, and for tips were quite high.

You are a bit out of town (which isn’t a problem, it is in many ways a bonus), but there are some limitations with this that are worth knowing if you don’t have a car.
Uber can be booked from Bacalar to the resort, but not from the resort to town. There is a local taxi firm you can find online that can be booked to pick you up. The restaurant at the resort has a small menu, which is fine for a stay is a few days, but you may wish for more options if you book a longer stay.

My only comments would be that the restaurant menu is a bit limited, and dinner service ends quite early at night. It would also be amazing if the property had a dock/pier for easier access to the lagoon.

A little pricey

Buenas facilidades, encontré muy mal la entrada y camino del hotel desde la carretera principal, bien pérdida en malesa y pasto de monte y el camino sumamente malo y demasiado oscuro.
En adición estuvieron quemando desperdicios vegetativo en gran cantidad, lo que el humo molestaba hasta dentro de las villas. Aunque se le mencionó y lo dejaron de hacer.

Entrada para o hotel está cheia de buracos, o detalhe de mesmo tendo Pequeno almoço incluído pago, existiu sempre o “pedido” de gratificação “opcional “ mas muito chata para os clientes.
Construção lateral deveria ser “disfarçada “ para não “estragar a beleza natural do espaço .

Está separado, los cuartos no están en la misma zona del restaurante y del acceso a la laguna. Las regaderas al aire libre son un tema. La piedrita en los caminos dificulta llevar las maletas aunque puedes pedir que te ayuden con un carrito. La última noche nos salió un alacrán!

For the cost, things were very rundown and not maintained or cleaned.

Wir hatten ein Mietauto, aber für alle die nicht flexibel sind.... Es liegt außerhalb von Bacalar und ist zu Fuß nicht zu erreichen.
Unser Punkteanzug gilt aber lediglich dem, dass leider kein Steg vorhanden ist und somit der Zugang in den See erst etwas steinig und dann schlammig ist und die Sicht auf die Lagune eingeschränkt ist, aber das ist Geschmackssache.
