Overall, a nice place to stay if you are looking for a quiet spot in Bacalar
Pros:

We stayed in one of the houses and overall had a pleasant experience. The houses are very nice and cozy, and the beds were comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. The location is also lovely and peaceful, perfect for relaxing near the lagoon.

Breakfast was good and tasty, though some items like eggs or additional extras come with an extra charge.

Cons:

One thing to note is that the beach area is quite small and there are many rocks at the shore, so it’s a good idea to bring swimming shoes to enter the water more comfortably.

Amazing stay!!!
Pros:

Probably the best stay we’ve ever had! Seriously amazing. Booked it for my partners birthday present and he absolutely loved it. Most amazing room with private pool… such a comfy bed and loved the outdoor shower. Food was nice and the cocktails lovely. Friendly staff too.

Cons:

Only thing is the pool area at the back seems a bit neglected and could do with a few touch ups. Also the steak wasn’t that great in the restaurant but all the other food was lovely.

Not worth the money. we found a better waterfront hotel right after.
Pros:

Cute room, but unbelievably humid

Cons:

After one night I have cancelled my stay at Hotel Naya Lagoon Hotel.
The reason is that it, despite being pretty, it was impossibile and dangerous to sleep in the room number 3 due to the humidity and smell of mould. The bedsheets and pillows were soaked. When I told the property they did not suggest to move us to a different room, therefore we asked for refund and booked another hotel for the remaining nights. We have never received the refund and the hotel doesn’t reply to our emails.

Besides the mould, the service was really not in line with the price we’ve paid, as for the included breakfast you could pick one dish (which is fine) but only the basic option, for specific ingredients you needed to pay some pesos on top. In a 4 start hotel where I paid over 400€ euros for 2 nights, with breakfast included, I do expect to get an egg on a toast without paying extra.

Nous avons été surprises de lire, avant notre arrivée, des avis récents très négatifs, ce qui nous a quelque peu inquiétées.

Concernant la route à l’arrivée , il y a en effet quelques trous, mais comme sur toutes les routes du Yucatán : rien de nouveau.

Nous avons été accueillies très chaleureusement. Notre logement correspondait parfaitement à ce que nous imaginions : très propre, avec une douche semi-extérieure qui a énormément de charme.

L’hôtel est propre, bien entretenu, et l’accès au lagon est bien réel. Je vous conseille vivement d’ajouter le petit-déjeuner à votre réservation, car il est succulent. Nous avons également dîné sur place et, de manière générale, la nourriture est excellente.
(L’équipe du restaurant a été changé il y a peu).
