Personnel très sympa, hôtel très joli et confortable
The location is absolutely fabulous, right in the centre and perfect for sightseeing, and we felt very safe throughout our stay. The room was also very spacious and extremely clean.
The checkout process was quite frustrating. There was a huge queue, and we waited more than 20 minutes just to check out, only to be told at the front that we could have simply dropped off our room cards, which was not clearly communicated, and there was no obvious drop-off box like in other hotels.
The WiFi was quite slow.
The bathroom setup was also inconvenient, as there was only a bathtub with a handheld showerhead and no wall attachment, so you had to hold it the entire time, which made showering uncomfortable.
Ich hatte einen wirklich hervorragenden Aufenthalt im Ljubljana Gran Plaza Hotel. Das Hotel ist sehr neu, modern und auf einem echten Deluxe-Niveau. Alles wirkt hochwertig und ausgesprochen sauber – besonders der Frühstücksraum ist hervorragend gepflegt und sehr angenehm gestaltet.
Der Check-in verlief extrem schnell und unkompliziert. Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an den Mitarbeiter Demir, der sich während meines gesamten Aufenthalts (3 Tage) außergewöhnlich aufmerksam gezeigt hat. Er hat mich jedes Mal freundlich begrüßt und stets nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist – ein wirklich erstklassiger Service!
Das Hotel bietet außerdem eine Garage für etwa 25 € pro Tag, entweder in der Tiefgarage oder direkt vor dem Haus. Die Lage ist ideal: Die Altstadt ist in nur etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, also wirklich sehr zentral.
Ein weiteres Highlight ist die Aussicht aus den Zimmern mit ihren großen Glasfenstern – man blickt direkt auf das InterContinental Ljubljana, was besonders abends sehr beeindruckend ist.
Ich kann dieses Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen – ein perfekter Aufenthalt!

Gostei do tamanho do quarto e da casa de banho. Também da decoração, sóbria mas de muito bom gosto. Dos espaços para arrumação e da limpeza, impecável.
Acho que apesar de o quarto ter muitos pontos de iluminação, a mesma deveria ter hipótese de ser maior. Estávamos sempre numa semi obscuridade
Centrally located, spacious room, good bathroom, nice pillows. The breakfast was superb, and it was open 6:30 - 10:30 on weekdays. On Saturday breakfast officially opened at 7, but we were allowed in at 6:30 so that we could eat before our early flight.
The closet space was limited. We would have appreciated two light chairs by the desk. The second chair was a heavy armchair, difficult to move and not suitable for working by the desk.

Our stay here was nowhere near the standard of a 5-star hotel.
From the outset, the service was unprofessional. On arrival, we witnessed a receptionist arguing with a guest who had been waiting a long time to check in, openly annoyed, dismissive and saying “I’m on my own.”
The room itself was not properly maintained: there was visible dust on surfaces, fingerprints on mirrors, and a leaking bidet that created puddles on the floor and was unusable. We reported this immediately, were told it would be fixed, but no one came. The next day, another receptionist claimed there was no record of the issue, apologetically complained about being understaffed and underpaid, and advised that next time we visit Ljubljana, we should stay at the Intercontinental across the road- an astonishing thing to hear from hotel staff.
At checkout, we were clearly told that minibar and breakfast charges would be waived due to the problems. However, we later found that we had still been charged. This was not even reflected on our final invoice. When we called, we were told that whoever processed the payment likely had not seen an internal note, and that we would receive a refund and written confirmation by email. No such confirmation has been sent, the refund has still not been processed, and we have had to keep calling to chase this up.
When we contacted the hotel again, their response was astonishing: the receptionist “had no authority” to make that promise, and management refused to honor it. In other words, they are happy to say whatever is necessary in the moment to avoid confrontation, then quietly charge you afterward and deny responsibility.
This is not a misunderstanding. This is a failure to honor a clear agreement made at checkout, combined with unacceptable internal disorganisation. Either their staff are not trained or empowered to act appropriately, or the hotel simply does not stand by what it tells its guests. Neither explanation is acceptable for a property positioning itself as five-star.
We are now forced to escalate this through our card provider, which could have been entirely avoided if the hotel had acted in good faith.
Travelers should be aware: do not rely on anything this hotel promises verbally. If it is not documented and signed off at the highest level, there is a real risk it will not be honored.
There are many excellent hotels in Ljubljana. This is not one of them.
