Pillo Rooms Apartments - Manchester

Burn marks and filthy all over the carpets, the bath didn’t drain when you had a shower the downstairs area absolutely stunk of damp and mould paid nearly 500 pounds for a luxury apartment there was nothing luxury about it luckily I used Tesco vouchers but if I had paid money to stay there I wouldn’t have even made it through the front door with that smell. The location is good and the information they give on the room is good but it needs a really good touch up to be called luxury

The only shop nearby was coop which was fine as we only needed essentials such as water etc.

However, the apartment itself wasn’t in the best condition. The floors were dirty as if they hadn’t been brushed or cleaned properly, there was shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned (shower door was dirty) and the windows had dirt and hand prints all over them as if a child was pushing against them.

It is also promoted to have free parking which is not true. There is no free parking in the area as we spoke to a traffic warden right outside the property and he told us everything was pay and display, therefor we ended up having to park in the multi-storey nearby which cost us £25 for 24 hours.

Overall, the stay was basic and the advertisement itself isn’t as it seems.

A little shabbier each stay. Maintenance and cleaning could be better, months old black mould. Toiletries and kitchen towels we completely missing

Horrible experience. The code for key lock box was not sent to us prior to our arrival. We had to wait for 2 hours on the curve, for the owners to email us back with the lock box code. When inside, toilet not flushing, water in the sink and shower tub not draining. Hot water: we had hot water first day there, last two nights no hot water. Trying to contact the owners no help. Left and could not even shower before leaving for our next trip. Other minor things: no elevator, so you dragging luggage up the steps to the third floor, no TVs in bedrooms. Stay away from this one.

The apartment is well situated with a bus stop literally outside the front door.

The mattress was comfortable and no noise was heard from outside.

The apartment has potential to be excellent if the pillows and flickering lights were replaced.

Overall a good stay.

The pub around the corner (New Oxford) is very good with an excellent range of Belgian and local beers. The tapas bar is also delicious.

Convenient place to stay clean and comfortable not keen on the checking in process on line or having to pay a refundable deposit

This property is located in a perfect spot for catching the Salford Central train or walking across the river to downtown Manchester. I took a different route every day and saw so many things. The wifi was excellent and I felt totally safe and comfortable. Very comfortable bed too! I messaged the property managers a couple of times with random questions, and they responded immediately. It was a breeze.

Really good and easy to do. Central
Location near the station. Great pub around the corner. Everything we needed for a one night stay. Coffee tea and milk a nice bonus for the morning.

Place was clean ,good size ,shower good.
Didnt like demands on check in depoist etc
The check in email had gone to junk and didnt see it .
Not easy getting hold of anyone promised check in email again but never turned up .
No internet/tv first night

Loved the ptoximity to transportation.

I didnt like the fact that there was no interface evdn the electronic communicatipn and response time was excellent.

the property is very central to everything we needed and wanted to do! it was a very pleasant area would definitely book again!!

I would like to start by saying communication was very good here. When we emailed they would reply fairly quickly and we’re polite.
When we first arrived Netflix was signed in to someone else’s accounts and had been locked (in a different language). This wasnt a big deal but was kindly rectified super quickly with someone coming to the apartment and getting it sorted. It was really good.
However, we felt quite disappointed by the numerous things we had to then email about getting fixed. We had booked this apartment as it said there was a double bed and a pull out sofa bed (we have 2 young children so this would be for them). Once pulled out, there was a large rip on the side of the sofa bed, and the zip on the mattress was burst up an entire side. The duvet cover for the sofa bed also had a large rip in it too. The bathroom door handle was also broke which lead to my husband almost being locked inside. There were also a few smaller issues e.g the lights in the bedroom flickering quite a lot, and iron burns on the rug but these were small in comp to the other issues.
Once we had emailed about these we were told that we could have someone come the next day to fix them (we were staying for 2 nights) or we could wait until our stay was over for them to be fixed. we chose for them to be fixed the next day but it still left us with a sub par apartment for our first night after 6 hour drive.
We have been giving a part refund for these issues, but it did leave us disappointed

Really clean, well situated.

A comfy. well laid out apartment, It had everything needed beddings, towel etc. Good location 12-15 mins walk to the heart of the city centre. However, comms responses were poor except for the automated ones. I had no response to a question I emailed on night 1 over a 2-night stay. The entrance hallway was a complete contrast to the lovely apartment. The TV was unusable with no channels preset nor allowing WiFi streaming from a phone. Some instructions or responsiveness to emails may have helped. As a business traveller, I recommend it as one of the best aparthotels I have stayed in. Will defo stay again

Apartment was as described. It did have some missing slats from the bedroom shades causing light to shine in very early.

Apartment was in a great location. The check in and check out was a really smooth process and easy to follow.

The stairs leading up to the apartment were very dirty.
