Moderne kleine Zimmer mit durchdachtem Konzept
Pros:

Moderne Zimmer mit guter Ausstattung. Dank des durchdachten Konzepts konnten wir problemlos unsere zwei grossen Koffer unterbringen. Die Betten und Kissen waren bequem und nicht zu weich. Der Smart-TV bietet alles was man braucht, wenn man sich mal im Zimmer zurückziehen möchte. Die Dusche war gross und das Badezimmer war modern ausgestattet. Die Zimmer waren sauber und wurden täglich gereinigt. Auch die Handtücher wurden jeden Tag gewechselt.

Cons:

Für die Gepäcklagerung am Abreisetag wurden 15 Dollar verlangt. Es hat dann gedauert bis wir sie zurückbekamen, weil unser Gepäck hinter duzenden anderen Koffern in einem kleinem Raum gelagert wurde. Die Lage ist nicht ganz perfekt , da sich dort in der Umgebung viele Obdachlose aufhalten. Subway ist zwar ganz in der Nähe, aber die Linien von dort aus sind nicht so gut. Zur blauen Linie ist es schon ein guter Fußmarsch. Ich fand es etwas erschreckend, dass sich im 30. Stock das Fenster öffnen lies.
Das Zimmer war recht klein.

Pleasantly surprised for a good value Sunday night stay.
Pros:

I was on floor 26 so I had a great view over at other buildings, looked great at night. I was able to check-in around 30-45 mins before 4pm, and all the staff were pleasant. I didn't have high expectations so was pleasantly surprised. It looked like I was paid around a third of the usual price (it was a Sunday night in late May).

Cons:

I didn't enjoy the lift up so high but that is on me, and not the property.
Bathroom is totally open plan so something to consider if travelling with friends/non-lovers.
Also, it was $5 for a bottle of water which seemed excessive but I guess it's NYC and I could have shopped around.

Good and solid hotel choice to explore the city. Do not expect something fancy.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is very good. There are two subway lines (yellow and red) in direct proximity of the hotel. Some sights (Flat Iron and Empire State Building) are just a little walk away.
The view out of our room was stunning (25th Floor and City View).
The staff was very friendly and always happy to help.

Cons:

The room was really small (as indicated) and there was not much room to store clothes. I really wish they had more than 3 hangers to hand some clothes instead of putting it into a drawer.

The breakfast almost was a joke: There was a selection of waffle with fruit (small waffle with some strawberry) or something else I could not quite remember. It is more like a snack than a breakfast. Everything else you had to pay for.
Do not expect a buffet or something similar.

Clean, comfortable, and good location for NYC stay
Pros:

Great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable bed, excellent shower, nice view from room 2207, good climate control.

Cons:

We got a strong dope odor that filled our room on 22nd floor despite having windows closed and having the air conditioning on.

The hotel was great for our friend reunion in NYC. I would definitely recommend it for future stays.
Pros:

The location was great. The rooms were clean. I lost my toothbrush and the front desk had toothbrushes and shower caps available. The included breakfast was great.

Cons:

The rooms were a little tight, but it was reasonable for NYC. The windows were very hard to shut. I had to call the front desk to have someone come shut them for me.

Location is about 10-15 minutes from Penn station.

Cons:

The walls are very thin. I could hear people talking in the room next to mine. The dimensions of the standing shower is such that if you 5'5'' or taller, you will not be able to hold both arms out in a straight line. Booking.com did not indicate there was a fee to leave luggage after checkout. There is no separate, secure room to store your luggage. Instead, the luggage is left a couple of feet from the check in station.

Perfect location
Pros:

Everything was excellent. My flight was changed and I arrived earlier than expected, and the staff allowed us to check in early, which I really appreciated after such a long flight. Everything was great — I would definitely stay at Aloft again when visiting NYC. Simply the best.
The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the rooms were not as small as other reviews made them seem, the location was perfect, and the staff was very polite.
