Grand appartement dans une résidence calme et agréable, bien équipé avec une magnifique vue sur l’Etna.
L’emplacement proche de la plage et des commerces est très pratique, pas besoin de prendre la voiture.
Et surtout un grand merci à notre hôte Salvatore qui a pris le temps de nous donner de précieux conseils pour organiser des activités dans la région, notamment la découverte de l’Etna avec notre fille de 2 ans.

Itse asunto oli riittävän väljä ja siisteydeltään ok. Kaikki tarpeellinen mm. ruoan laittoon sekä ilmastointi. Isohko terassi, hyvät kodinkoneet, mm pyykinpesukone. Piha-alue aidattu, joten turvallinen myös autolle, jolle oma paikka asunnon alapuolella. Pihalla oleva uima-allas myös ok.
Booking esitteen mukaan olisi pitänyt olla ns. huoneistohotelli, mutta on siis vain normi asunto sellaisessa asuntokompleksissa. Piti olla kuntosali, ei ollut. Ei ollut ravintolaa, ei baaria, ei niitä mukavuuksia, joita luvataan.
Talossa huono äänieristys. Yläpuolen asunnossa olevan koiran tassujen ääni kuuluu selvästi, samoin sen haukunta. Ota siis korvatulpat mukaan, jos haluat nukkua rauhassa.
Asunnon / koko talon sijanti keskellä peltoa, tosi epäsiisti ympäristö ja teiden kunto kuin Sarajevossa. Toki lyhyt matka rannalle, mutta sekin aika epäsiisti just siltä kohtaa.

It wasn't like that.
Great communication with the host, Salvatore. We were able to check in after 11 PM. The apartment consists of a bedroom, bathroom, living room with a kitchenette, and a spacious terrace. From the terrace, there is a view of Mount Etna, a swimming pool, and a playground. There is a table and four chairs on the terrace. The apartment is clean and spacious. It is a 2-minute walk to the nearest beach entrance. On the way, you pass a store. The store is well-stocked with Italian products, and there is very tasty bread (much better than in the local Lidl), but you won't find some products that you might be used to, such as cucumbers.

The communication with the host, Salvatore, and his son, was fantastic - true Sicilian kindness and hospitality. The location in Fondachello was fabulous for families. The pool area lovely and the setting, against a backdrop view of Etna, was stunning. Sunsets were incredible. The beach is literally one minute walk away, as is a fantastic supermarket. The restaurants very nearby are superb, well priced and great service. The kitchen area in the apartment is well equipped and the washing machine a life saver if you are staying for a long time like us. It is a perfect base to explore the island (car needed but parking space free and apartments gated and secure). Taormina, Etna, Savoca nearby by car. All in all, our stay was fabulous!
