Lovely place to stay

Friendly. Close to everything. Strong shower that drained well. Comfortable bed. Towel racks would be a nice addition.

It was a last minute stay and it was an overnight for the moment but it was good at the Hillcrest.

Was just staying one night. Room was clean. Desk clerk was very nice and friendly

Booked ahead. They had paperwork ready so easy check in person at desk (not good at remembering names) was polite helpfull.

We only stayed one night. It was comfortable and clean. A mini fridge and microwave, very convenient!

First room door lock wouldn’t let me exit. Moved to another room, dead bolt wouldn’t close on second room .Had to flush toilet 7 times to evacuate contents. Poor lighting. Very dated rooms. Simple coat of paint, remove swag lamps that have been disconnected. Replace carpet.

The Hillcrest Hotel needs a lot of work. The condition of the bathroom in our unit was appalling dirt crusted almost everywhere mold on tile just really bad. Carpet stained and in need of replacing. The property offered no ice and no coffee in the morning. I feel like I was partly misled by the good reviews – who doesn't like a value. Do yourself a favor keep driving there was nothing wrong with the Help, but some serious money needs to be invested in this property.

I liked the price for just a quick overnight stay. The property is old, but it was cleaner than several other budget hotels I've stayed at in the past.

This place is a clean, quiet, comfortable hotel and I was surprised at the price very affordable. We checked in the front desk attendant was nice and friendly made check in quick which was much appreciated. And it has a very big TV up on the wall compared to most hotels that have a small one on a table. I will definitely be making this one of my stops again on my next trip.

Pleasant. Very old motel but clean and comfortable. Staff very kind. Very good price.

Convenient to the highway and close to the lake where we spent our time. The front desk person was very accommodating to what we needed. The place is clean and quiet during the night it was a nice place to get a good night sleep. Thank you! We had a great time all together.

This was my second stay at Hillcrest. Property has been improved since my last stay August 2024. Owner is very personable and cares for his guests. He responded quickly to request for assistance and resolved the problem. Still improving on the property and I intend to stay there again.

This is a park at your room door motel which is great especially for a one night stay. Quiet room. The room lacked bedside lighting and convenient electrical plugs but I carry extension cords and an extra small lamp. Frig with freezer section.

It worked for what we needed to break up the long drive to Colorado but the place could use some updates or repairs. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived late and had some good communication ahead of time. Town had more available gas stations and things than we expected.

The room was fairly clean, and the bed linen was good. The room door had a hole in it on the inside area there was also a hole in one of the inside walls. The room really need a total make over for sure. But price was fair, and we only need one night.

We were given two queen beds (we thought we were getting one) that was a pleasant surprise. The bedding looked good and smelled very fresh. This was more important to me than the other things that were lacking.The only ice machine did not work. There was no phone to call the front desk. Our outside front door was missing the lower glass section. The outside door did not shut completely. We got what we paid for. So overall for the price, I can not complain. There was a residential area behind the motel and it allowed us to go for a nice walk after driving all day.
